Algonquin is such a prominent mountain and imo the most memorable peak ive ever hiked

Great video. Good for you. My favorite mountain of all time. I climbed it 6 times in my teens and early 20's. 30 years later I climbed it again. The overwhelming sensation was how big it is. (Wjhirteface felt the same when I drove up it 25 years after I last climbed it.) Looking down at the lakes (Avalanche and Colden), I felt like I was in an airplane. It was dark when I got down and my thighs hurt for two weeks. But it was worth it. The view up there is spectacular. Only other views for me that compare are Haystack and Noonmark. Gothics is pretty cool. I think for me the view from Marcy never got to me is because everything else seemed so small.

I did Marcy as a sunrise and was an absolutely incredible experience. Where did you drive from that morning?

I felt like this finishing my first high peak at 67 yrs old ill never get 46 but it's awesome to watch others accomplish theirs. I continue to hike and am grateful for the mts. Congratulations!!!!

Breathtaking! Brings tears to my eyes.....so absolutely beautiful! Some 35 years ago...climbed my Marcy with several friends.... remember the "high" feeling, not only from the height, but the mental exhilaration!

I just finished my 46 on July 5 2024 and it was a very bittersweet feeling and really enjoyed this gave me goosebumps this needs more views completing my 46 was the funnest adventure of my life

i went to the show at 8/26 and was all the way at the front hanging onto the rail and lemme tell you, the heat from the flames and the sound from the pyrotechnics was insanely intense

Great video. Algonquin is my favorite peak but I was blessed to do the upper range on one cloudless day wit 6 older boys, Gothics, Saddleback, Basin, Haystack, then down the Phelps trail to the Garden. Climbed Marcy 6 rimes always from Avalanche Lake up to Lake Tear and 4 corners. They had lean tos up there when we did it (1962- 1968). You could pull into the parking lot at Adirondack Loj, only 4 cars were there and you could grab any lean to you wanted.
