@@timrc666 Ampeg VH140C sounds vastly different to Crate GX130C, i dont know why they say it sounds similar, having tested both of them with NAM models i can say for sure they are really different, the gain structure is similar but everything else is not.

@@BlackEcology Yeah i mean it sounds sick in the fx loop as a preamp ped but since I was going for the Cannibal Corpse tone I only used it as a clean boost since CC used Crates

I always thought they used the crate gx130c for the album? They had them on stage in most of the videos I've seen from that time

@@Cryptic-1-9-1-1 Yes, they used a Crate GX600 for first and second album (this time with a metalzone as a boost), Crate GX130C for Tomb boosted with a metalzone, and on The Bleeding they used the Marshall V8100 also boosted with the metalzone, you can see it on The Bleeding sessions as well. Im guessing they maybe did a mix of the two.

@@martdood Yes, that is why i think they used a layer of the Crate and the Valvestate. However just with the Valvestate you can get insanely close to the tone.

I dunno. That finger endurance for the first riff is pretty insane.

@@xanderbridge8683you should look into getting a Fender M-80. It’s definitely built for OSDM and early 00’s brutal death metal.

I've got a gx600 that needs a repair. The volume as I'm playing is dropping and is inconsistent. I guess alot of those older crates ampegs and peavey all had those same issues as far as solid state goes

@@owenhensley4029yeah my GX130C starting to get volume drops. Gonna try cleaning the pots or may have to change out filter capacitors. It’s a super brutal amp and they do need some TLC since they’re super old.

@@xanderbridge8683 I just tried your NAM model, would love if you do more models, like for example everything in flat, other scooped, and so on. So far i tried your model and compared it with a Crate GT1200H, it sounded almost the same with the metalzone boost in front, i only had to aggressively cut the highs of my Crate to sound like yours, does the G130C sound this dark?

@Destroyersoul-e9x No its not normally that dark but I cut the highs because "The Bleeding" has an aggressive low pass on guitars
