Audi A6 C6 Door Lock replacement - door not unlocking FIX
The passenger door of my 2005 A6 would barely ever unlock from the outside unless you open it from the inside. It would stop opening again the next time it was locked.
This is the fastest and cheapest way to fix the issue. A genuine lock will be better quality but cost much more. The door gap is very, very tight. Allow a few hours to try and get the old unit out.

BMW F30 3 Series mirror indicator scrolling replacement/fix

My 328i's wing mirror indicator lamps had been getting quite dim and one of them was failing intermittently, but didn't give a warning light on the dash. Replaced them with cheap but great-looking scrolling LEDs. Music track: Viajes by tubebackr Source: freetouse.com/music Free Background Music for Videos

FIX: BMW 3 Series F30 rear foot well/carpets door leak

A huge problem plaguing nearly all f30s! The seal in the door simply comes loose and lets water into the cabin. Fix just requires some more rubber butyl and a heat gun, or some other sealant.

Jaguar XJ X351 Intake Hose Replacement
Просмотров 2 тыс.2 года назад
Common issue with these engines due to the questionable intake hose build quality - the main feeder into the manifold cracks the whole way around due to the heat. Only online replacement I found south of $1,000 was from Aliexpress, but it turned out to be OEM anyway, albeit not fitting right.

Mercedes C Class W204 Squeaky Steering Wheel FIX
Просмотров 40 тыс.2 года назад
A common but really minor design flaw from the pre-facelift W204 C Classes was the steering wheel creak/grinding noise. Some people replaced their whole steering rack for thousands of dollars, without realising it was actually just a misalignment of the driver's dash underside panel. Here you can see how to fix it.

The most scenic sections start around 1:00:00, and 1:27:00. Strange glitch at the start, no idea what happened. Audi A6 Avant Quattro

Cant understand one fuck about doings
my problem is that the passanger door won't open from inside or outside at all. Does the door lock mechanism have any connector that might come loose after long time of using the door? The door haven't opened since when my brother closed it really hard.
Yeah something definitely could've come loose, but you should feel it in the handle. If the handle feels strange, then it will likely be loose.
Thanks! I've got the same problem, do you have a part number for the lock mechanism? I'm also in NZ.
I. Don’t understand it I did this it stopped leaking and now it leaks again
Thank you!
Well, I have this issue on mine, unfortunately, and I will have to tackle this fiddly job once I am back from vacation. Your video is very good young man, thank you very much!!! How long did it take you? 2 hrs?
Thanks! It probably took me 3 hours total. Getting the lock out of the door is the hardest part by far - you really need to be slow and strategic.
@@lucavangorkom9453 yes I noticed this is a fiddly job... It reminds me of when I fixed the lock on the BMW Z4... Also on the passenger side... Is that a lady thing? Smashing the doors? 🙄🙄🤣🤣
dont steer with the motor of haha
Thanks for tge video .Where did you buy this kit ?
AliExpress!
This was very useful in pointing me to the right location but I didn’t have to remove anything. The lower section of the plastic trim has a tab that pokes into the carpet. I pulled this free by hand, which was easy, and I tucked a 2” section of foam behind the trim, where it pressed against the rubber boot of the steering column, problem solved without the use of any tools! Just a torch and a small section of foam. Many thanks for the video 10/10.
Frome Where is this clict on stering wheel? Is not frome stering rack!? I change stering rack and still this same...
Hi. So just wanted to give my experience on this. I just went under and removed the plastic panel. I did not remove the panel/trim on the right (I'm not certain why that was needed in the first place so I left it on) I was able to remove the plastic trim under the steering wheel colum above the foot brake without any major issues. It was a bit of an awkward location but I got all 3 screws out and the 4th one holding the bonet lever in place. lowering the trim, I found on the far left of the this plastic trim panel there is a small cable connecting to the trim, becareful not to damage this when lowering the panel/trim as there was not a lot of wiggle room at least for my car anyway. Unplugged this and I moved to the right , I decided to not remove any other cables/plugs because it didn't seem like it was really needed. The main reason was, when I lowered the trim, my trim was covered in dust and there was no sign of any rubbing onto the panel itself so I did not feel there was any point in removing the panel any further. Instead, I did decide to spray a small amount of WD40 onto a rubber boot that is just above the foot brake as I cannot see anything else that could be rubbing... so far, this has stopped the noise but I need to do mroe testing.
Thank you very helpful 👍
Thanks for the video, i was able to fix my w204 face lift with the same issue really easy

He seguido los pasos y he roto las dos pestañas superiores/frontales. Debía empezar por abajo y con las dos últimas, deslizar hacia abajo. No he conseguido sacar la parte de abajo, pero he cambiado el cierre, gracias.
FYI all this is not the only way water can leak in, I had it from the rear speakers, they (bmw) for some reason designed them so the backs get wet, If the seal around the speaker has gone or you have replaced them with aftermarket speakers with an 'adapter' this can be an issue,.
I agree it’s absurd for the back of the speakers to get wet by design
Hi, any idea on how to remove the cupholder sliding top, mine's stuck and I have no idea how to take it off to clean it ?

Useless video

Heyy, ur car is totally the same as mine, from the interior colour to the problem! May I ask that do you know the use of the connector in the arm rest? Like what type of connector it is? and recently my MMI was randomly dead during a long trip, but after off the engine for several hours it's work again, did u have same problem?
The connector in the centre console armrest is actually for an old phone system that doesn't work these days. Not sure sorry what your MMI issue could be.
Great
What was the first screwdriver?
You don’t need anything to get the glass off. Just pull it straight. You think you’re going to break it but it won’t break. The screwdriver for the three screws is a torx head.
@@recall2880 what was the blue tool used to release? My driver side mirror is much more firmly in place and I can’t get it out, passenger side is a doddle, but can’t release driver side mirror 😫

I have this issue on my face lift model. Its really annoying
Exat same here
me too i have the same issue on my facelift,
same here! Annoying
Have you tried the steps in video
@@akif1947 Garage sorted it when I took it in for something else.
I had the exact same issue on the facelift (UK) model, thanks for the video.
what type of liquid you put on the plastic ?
I actually just put some oil on there to see if it'd make a difference, which it did, but it returned a few thousand Kms later. The second time around i actually sanded back the contact patch.
@@thataudidriver8185 has the noise back?....if not did you just sand the the trim inside?
@@nssonsmotors2470 That's exactly what I did :)
Does this apply in the facelift too?
I'm actually not sure to be honest - I'd have thought that if it was a common issue, it'll have been updated and fixed for facelift models.
I have the facelift and it had the very same issue and this video helped sort it out really easy
Hi, friend. Thanks for the neat video. I have an issue with a knocking sound coming from my w204 (same model as yours) every time I turn the steering wheel. It's really irritating. What could this be? Thanks in advance for any help
If it's not the same issue as mine, I'd suggest it's something mechanical in the suspension. Check for wear in any components or play in the wheels.
@@lucavangorkom9453 Thanks a ton. Will do
Anything new found about issue?
Sounds like the cv axle boot
I have a knocking noise coming from steering if I rock the steering left and right...changed the steering rack but still same problem...now it cud be the steering column
How you take off the bulb only, the reverse light bulb?
The reverse bulb is part of the black structure you unlcip first. No need to remove the whole boot trim piece either for that, just unclip and pull out, but be careful not to break it.
Hello, Are those OEM headlights?
Yes they are! OEM Xenons. From my Audi A6 C6. They turn around corners as well
You dont have to take off the boot lid. Just use an extention on a 8mm socket, much less time consuming.
After replace I saw that you do not need to pull all off. Only two 8mm screws and you ready.
Oh wow thanks for bringing that up! I had no idea it was accessible without removing the boot trim.
I wasted a lot of time removing the boot lid after watching this video
Good thanks for this video, gonna to replace my taillights soon too. Greetings
Good luck with that. Easier than I thought.
