Setting My Most Ambitious Savings Goal Yet • Cash Stuffing and Savings Challenges in April 2024
I agree that a haul must contain food for a meal. Like, do not buy 10 pastas only!
Hi Nicole 👋 nice cash stuffing 😊🩵 20:40
Great video. I don’t drive and don’t often pass a supermarket so I do an online shop. I really like a lot of Asda’s yellow basic range (can’t remember what it’s called) and was upset to see their cheap tinned peaches were no longer being sold (I think I’m actually in my 70’s and not my 30’s 😂). Saw on the news last week they haven’t stopped selling them, but Asda and Morrisons (possibly others) have been removing some of their cheap range from the online shop option but you can still get them in store. I think they were about 40p and the next cheapest option I have is £1.10 😡.
What a good idea. Im going to start doing this thanks for the tips xx
I think thats quite amazingfor a fiver! Could you make a day or several days of coherent meals with thatyet? Why the ten andf3iteen shop? What are you looking for?
Hi could you give us a tour of your prepping cupboard it’s something I’m interested in. Heather
What are we rating Sainsbury's out of 10 for £5 shop?
Thanks I enjoyed this vlog, I would only have £5 spare to buy prepping foods. I have done exactly what you said not to,in the past . I bought the cheapest tins and thought I would eat them, they are still there. If you like prepping and cooking - Ana’s food & lifestyle is also a good UK prepping channel. She talks about the cost of living and hard times.
Love it when these videos pop up in my feed, your approach to this was really good, another excellent money saving channel is, Sensible Frugal Living, she uses Tesco and has “shorts” where she takes £3 and does a haul of soups, pasta, baking goods, tomato products, etc, which builds up a brilliant little stockpile, it makes more sense for us in the U.K. to do it this way, not like our American cousins who buy trays of the same things, basically because we live in much smaller homes and simply don’t have the space for pantries the size of a room, new sub here looking forward to how you progress with this series.
Thanks for this video. Having a short term and long term pantry is important and helpful. We are seeing price increases here in the US also. For people that have to walk with there groceries how about a little cart you can pull when you're walking.
❤Love these videos thank you for sharing rate it a 7
This is super interesting. My mother always did this. I suppose i did it now without thinking. It makes me so sad though these prices I'd never find in Ireland. Sometimes Aldi you can win. But not predictable
Have you thought about a wheeled shopping trolley... They come in many designs.. You can pick them up from charity shops .. Make your first purchase a shopping trolley..
Same in Canada 🇨🇦
I am a prepper, I am currently eating cupboard supplies at 2021/2022 prices which really helps my budget. I am spending the next 2 to 3 months doing minimal shopping and clearing out the freezer and older supplies to save money. I fill up the freezer at Christmas with the half price meat offers and then use them for the next year to save money, it really does keep my food bills down.
I'm 12,000 miles away from the UK, in NZ, and we are seeing the same out of control increases in food prices. I set aside any spare money from my weekly grocery shop, and use it to bulk buy meat for the freezer, and buy really good specials when they are available.
My personal choice of supermarket for budget items is always Asda, even better since they started a rewards system/app as I'm always getting coupons, discounts etc through there 🙂
I find your food prices so much lower then ours in the U S. I work very part time in a independent grocery store in my town. A can of the store brand of chicken noodle soup is twice the price. Even accounting for the conversion rate. I do a little prepping... Please continue these videos. I find the different ways people use staples interesting.
Excited to see this series, and thanks for mentioning those of us who have to carry our groceries home 🧡
Yeah our food is going up lots here in Canada too. You are right prices keep going up almost every week. I always keep stuff in my freezer and pantry to make/bulk out meals. Great idea for a series. 💕
Only just discovered your channel and I'm really enjoying your videos 🙂 you've got yourself a new subscriber 😊
Hi just subscribed, yes I think we’re in for a cold winter. I’m starting to buy extra cupboard foods to stock up 🥶🥶
Could we have a pantry video at all and see your stock pile? I’m thinking of starting to slowly stock up on items . I don’t think it’ll hurt as a single mum to 3 to have some back up items ❤❤
@@RachelBishop-d3t funnily enough... I've got a couple of pre-recorded videos about that coming to the channel from next week... ☺️🤫
Oh our pipes freeze as well. It's the worst. We had a plumber advise us any freezing nights keep a tap in the kitchen running at the tiniest dribble to keep a flow. Also keep a few 5L bottles of water for the just incase.. really hoping winter isn't too bad. I'm dreading it
Fingers crossed winter isn’t too bad for you. Good check-in Nicole. 💕
You've done so much wow🎉, try not to buy too much cat food as I did that for my dog sadly he passed away recently, luckily I gave it to a neighbour as a gift so budgeting has gone by the by at present
Nothing wrong with slow steady 😊
Wow you've done most excellent I remember when you first started this journey, ❤ x
Any vids on how your clearing rooms ?? ❤ x😊
Ooh a cliffhanger… 🧡
Have you an Etsy shop ? Maybe when you have time you could make some stuff to sell it’s all lovely ❤❤
Hi Nicole, great video.
The description of the coat made me laugh out loud…loved the video!
❤ Great video
❤❤❤❤❤
Loved the video, hope your kitty is doing well❤
Yay, you're doing the pension thing! I like the idea of tracking it, gives a real sense of getting somewhere. I'll be there in 30 year!
I’m glad those who commented could help you with the pension thing. Great idea to keep track of your pension, it’ll remind you how much you’re saving for your future. Fantastic video Nicole! 💕
It was great fun watching this 🤣😂
Thank you for sharing . I enjoyed your video and I loved the big P tracking idea and I want to see it filled in every month please. Well done on all you have achieved these last couple of years ..I’m happy for you . 🇬🇧💛🤍
My part of my pension was 8% of sal my employers was 19%. But to get the Employers portion ....we had to retire.
Loved the video, hope your kitty is doing ok❤ I have never had pet insurance, so have started putting money away in savings for my cat Kitty. She turned 9 this month and wanted money there if needed.
Please do not stop paying into your pension. It is so important later on to have that fully funded. Cut back somewhere else if you can but make the pension payments.
I would not stop your pension payments. You will need this further down the line when you do retire to live a bit more comfortably. Who knows what will happen to the state pension by the time you consider retiring.
