Broadford Champions Ride day | Triumph Street Triple S - 1:10.9

Went a little bit faster this time, still a pussy on T12 exit. Lines have improved, overall confidence on the bike has improved. Would like to work on more body positioning and speed into the corner. Bridgestone S23 120/70 180/55

Bit of an impromptu run up and down Reefton spur on Father's day, unusual time of after noon but it was a very enjoyable low traffic day, a lot of riders out. Got some clear way through Reefton which was incredible. CB650F & Street triple 660

BRZ goes to an RAAF base! East Sale sprints
Просмотров 211Год назад
Sprint day on an RAAF base in East Sale. Last time I've been here was 6 years ago, in my MX5. It was wet and quite fun, but this version of the course is much more fast and flowing. Quite hard to get a rhythm with brakes that are not so consistent. My brake cooling mod did seem to work but it's not enough for the stock pads. Chassis is pretty playful but tends to understeer if you're not aggres...

Manual 🫨🫨🫨🫨✊🏾✊🏾✊🏾
What alloys are these please :) looking for my gs430
Driving reckless on public roads and putting others in danger is just stupid.
It’s actually an “Aristo” with the Toyota badge on it.,Good vid but.
I know you manual swapped it & all, but I need more info on that infotainment system, looks almost factory lol
Sick driving!
Stock twins still v
Nice, what handbrake kit is that?
Nice what, is it a 2j gte? Also, where does the assembly around the stick come from? Probably doing a conversion soon!
Nice track and Nice bike! Thumbs 👍
Thanks heaps man!!
Makes me want to have a straight in my GS300.
Wheel specs?
18x9.5 +15
@@JohnnyBalazodid you need spacers for the setup?
@@Indigo_Saga surprisingly they fit over LS400 calipers, barely. No spacers required
@@JohnnyBalazo do they rub?
@@Indigo_Saga fenders definitely require a trim, 235/40/18 size tyres
gs400? also stock diff? i have a 300 and im tired of the open diff
GS300 with 2JZGTE swap. Currently has a TRD 2 way diff from a Soarer, 4.08 ratio. Really brings the car alive
That doesn't sound like a 1uz why would you ask if it's a gs400 lol?
@@kingjr1uzfe387 sounded like my boys uz lmao
@@JohnnyBalazohow much did u pay for the diff? Currently in the market for one myself.
I found this one from Japan, landed in Australia for about 1.4k AUD. Unsure how much they would go for now. Could be better to get an off the shelf clutch type like Cusco or OS Giken. Still a lot of moolah though.
You be swinging that beast!
Thanks mannn, it's a straight riot for sure
Manual box? How?
Hole saw 🤣
Where does someone get a steering wheel that beautiful
What was done to this car? I see it's Single turbo, Stock ecu? how much boost?
you drive aristo like a pussy
I really can't decide between buying a GS 400 or a GS 300, a 2JZ sounds nice but then again, that 1UZ FE is really nice sounding, yeah I think I'll go with the 400
I'd love to build a UZ one day, great V8 motors
Did you get it
Tuuuuuuuune!! 🎶
Oheck yesss!
How much power and what width rims?
About 400whp, 18x9.5 wheels
That was amazing, fun to watch and love the turbo sound
Thank you!! I broke the transmission a few months ago at a drift day, I have a new one to replace it, so hopefully more turbo noises again soon 😀
What body mods have been done to your gs300?
Nothing really, rolled front fenders, trimmed the inside lips of the rear fenders. Toms Aristo from bar.
I need more please got a gs430 this was beautiful nice driving as well mate
I need an LSD for my Aristo swap and a manual is on my wish list. Granis Racing Tremic TR6060
Yes. You can fit the diff from an SC and Supra (small flange) directly into the GS
They drive on the wrong side of the road and in the wrong side of the vehicle to be different. It doesn’t make sense because the majority of humans are right handed
Yeah so it makes sense you dildo, you shift with your left hand so your right hand is controlling the steering. Feels way more natural and that’s someone who has driven both
You say that like American citizens had a say in the decision to drive on the left and side
@@mattbrooks162 I’m just saying the majority of humans are right handed so driving on the right side of the road seems natural, if the majority of people were left handed then driving on the opposite side would make sense.
@@boomboombaby9140 highways.dot.gov/highway-history/general-highway-history/right-side-road From a quick search, it looks like about 35% of drivers throughout the world drive on the left side of the road in right-hand drive vehicles.
It's the left side of a road and right side of the car. There is no wrong side. If you think wrong... you must have 2 wrong arms and 2 wrong legs???
Given their whale like size, they're surprisingly nimble in the twisties
You'd be surprised, the IS platform has generally just been a shorter wheelbase GS, so its DNA is rather sporty haha
They really arent that big
@@ogk129 The turbo model is nearly 1700kg. Pretty much 400kg heavier than the Silvias, MR2s and RX7s etc. Can definitely feel the weight in mine.
people still drift these big ass cars
@@LockieNZ For a sedan? 3800 lbs isn't that bad at all.
Is it worth going to the manual?
Hmmm, honestly unless you really really like the chassis, it's better to choose the other Toyota sedans to get your 4 door fix. Having said that, if you like the GS, absolutely it's worth it. It's so fun and stupid driving a big car like this.
@JohnnyBalazo isn't it the same legendary chassis the mark 2 rides on? If so these are legendary cars through and through.
Quite close, fundamentally the same, though they don't quite share the same suspension parts. Definitely legendary
@JohnnyBalazo well I'm building my aristo jzs161 engine head with cams, new springs and retainers, and valve stems.not sure what transmission yet
@@JohnnyBalazo nice ride my dude, str8 up. Thanks for the content!
what gearbox?
R154! :)
I want that front bumper on the aristo
I'm pretty lucky I found it for a good price from Japan a few years ago! Might be worth keeping an eye out on Yahoo auction Japan
What front bumper is that man!
It's a TOMs front bumper from a VA300!
Bro I completely forgot about the Castrol corolla
Man the memories of WRC, truly golden age
Hey bro you in Vic right? How much did it cost to manual swap your car?
Hey sorry for the late reply. I did it myself, took an R154, custom drive shaft, JZX100 clutch pedal assembly and master cylinder. GB had already been converted to concentric slave from a T56 transmission. I'd probably budget 10k of labour and parts if someone were to do it
Man this makes me want to Manual swap my Aristo so bad 🤣, How hard was the R154 swap? Also what facia are you using for your head unit? it looks clean as
Aerpro I believe, been awhile but there's a lot out there, this is the double din to fit a screen :)
The hardest part of probably getting the clutch pedal assembly in place. To make it easier since you're in the states of im not mistaken, look up heat lighting speed shop for the gs300 clutch assembly. Other than that basically need the transmission, a little trim of the gear lever opening in the tunnel and a drive shaft made up to length. Then figure out your handbrake, hydro or retrofit something from like a jzx or a sc300/soarer
Hell yeah dude this is pretty cool, sounds so good. My GS needs all new suspension pretty much to even come close to feeling how this looks😂
Thanks man. Can't compete with a 2J (ok maybe a built RB comes close 😅). Get the SerialNine OEM+ bushing kit. Looks sick and a little harder than OEM without going overboard. They can handle better than they appear, boats 😂
@@JohnnyBalazo do they still make the oem+ kit? Cause I can only find solid mount bushings which I mean, if I got to go with them I will 😂
@@GrizzlyGarage interesting, I can still see the polyurethane kit which they call the OEM replacement. That's probably the most ideal, you don't wanna go solid at all 😅
Hi, what's the mod list on this car? Great GS and driving btw
Thanks! It's extensive in some ways. Powertrain: 2JZGTE unopened Garrett GTX3582r 0.83 TiAL exhaust housing. GReddy intercooler Driveline: R154 trans TRD LSD 4.1 ratio NPC twin plate clutch Chassis: BC BR 18kg front 12kg rear 25mm RCA front and rear Serialnine rear subframe bushings IS350 brakes
@@JohnnyBalazo anything crazy done to adapt the is350 brakes?
@@PgamerTBP I bought the calipers from Japan with adapter brackets already but that's about it. Google 350phi and they provide info and brackets to suit

Hi, Live in melbourne and have a gr86! Was also interested in tracking it (first car), but unsure of how to start. Do you have any advice? Thanks
Hey Matt! That's excellent news, circuits are a great place to explore car performance and driver ability. It depends on the type of motorsport you might be interested in. I'd do some research into a few different types motorsport. Motorkhana, Hillclimbs, and of course track days on a full size circuit. Entry these days is getting kind of expensive, the 2 former suggestions are really cheap entry into motorsport. If you do wanna head straight into track days, there's circuits like Winton or Sandown which mostly don't have super high cornering speeds. Event organisers such as Tampered Motorsport for Sandown, or Winton has organisers like Track for Days, or Vivid Motorsports. You can sign up with them, though do note you'll require a race license which you can sign up for and pay a small amount for an entire year. Don't be afraid to ask the organisers for some help as a beginner!
@@JohnnyBalazo Alright thanks so much for the info! Will def sus out all these options. Chucked a subscribe, excited to see ur brz journey :)
