It's crazy how untalented these guys are as actual players. Like they have these great songs, totally under-realised and under-represented by their empty, shoddy playing. They sound like a bunch of drunk 17 year olds covering their own songs.

You can tell Carl didn't write this song, he doesn't do a great job. Pete actually let him sing it on the album as a favour or an apology for something as Pete wrote the lyrics. Pete was a pretty good friend.

I remember driving my kids and their mates to festivals, I always insisted on the Libertines serenading me there and back. Singing at the top of my voice on the way home with an empty car. A few days later going to pick ‘em up but I had to have the windows open because they stank! Happy days. Kendal Calling ❤ but I loved the Libertines more and yes they are better than the Beatles.
