Hi.
I’m Paul. Owner of the Wedding Spinner DJ services. An alternative DJ company in the South west of the UK.
We specialise in amazing DJs to play at your gig or wedding.
We really specialise in House, HipHop and Drum and Bass but mix anything from Reggae and Dubs, all the way to 90s surf punk rock. And pretty much anything in between.
We also get through a savage amount of kit as we are always striving to find that next perfect solution whether it’s lighting or sound.
So as I’m a complete extrovert and love seeing myself on camera I thought we may as well review some stuff.
I’m pretty open to any comments. Just don’t make me cry. 😭

SORRY .NICE Systems but not worth the price, , the small speaker are Car speaker they have FOAM around the cone. The FOAM will deterioate in 4 to 5 year may be early then you spend money to replace them or get repaired. LD should look at their competitors drivers.

OMG,im looking @ ur booth & u standing behind it, i`ve looking @ alot of these mobile dj furniture, & its the HEIGHT,some djs are 5`5" & some 5'11". If u cant adjust the height then its a waste of money.I`ve played in alot of clubs in the USA since 1980 & i was told theres a standard height for all club booths,LOL short djs had to walk with their 2" rubber pads to put on the floor of the booth,or wear lifts.

I’ve actually moved on from this. And gone to try something different. I’m trying out some RCF 935s and also the 910s and 15” subs.. two of the Dave x would have been savage. But it would also have been crazy heavy to move around .
What cables do you use to connect the controller to the LD Systems system?
Does the ape lab magnets stick to the booth ? Wondering if you placed one flat there because it would not stick onto it. Looks great tho, I’ve been thinking about pulling the trigger on this for a while, but not quite there on it yet.

hey my friend the video was good but you forgot to mentioned those sexy lighting and poles you have in the back ground where those came from.
Where donyou set your volumes at the back of the unit. Im trying to find the sweet spot for a balanced sound.
What kind if table is that all of the gear is on 1:58. Also if would have been useful to add links so we could try and purchase the gear in the vidoe
Only thing I think they could do better is using black screws. Those silver screws really stick out from the black booth. Hopefully they read this comment and take that into account. If I do get this booth I'll just use a paint marker and color them.
Think they are holes for the accessories not screws.
Would I need to connect my mixer to just one of the systems and it would Bluetooth to the second unit?

what is the max number of people that you would use for this setup?
My weddings are normally around the 100 people mark. But it would completely depend on the size of the room.

😂😂 apart from seeing a backlit panel and not being able to hear what they sound like through an I phone speaker I guess its not really that important.
Thanks for the great high quality video! Please consider making a direct comparison video between this and the maui 44g2, I'm sure it would get a tonne of traffic as that will be a big question for lots of folks. Some questions like, what events would you rather bring 2 maui? Or 1 dave? Or 2 dave? Thanks again for the great videos, hope to see more!

Hey man, do you think you could get two 1210’s and an S-11 Battle Style on one? And how’s the height? I’m not quite as tall as you but pushing it.
Hey man. You can easy get a set of 1210s and a big 4 channel mixer on the booth. And probably a few other bits. For me the height is lovely. My co troller is flight cases and that raises the mixing height up a little. I also just recently got a new case and it’s also a little higher again. But still great. Obviously lower with just 12s on there in no cases. Hope that helps

Does it have feet to adjust for uneven ground? What about putting a controller case on top with a sliding shelf? Will it fit and clear that top piece?
The feet do adjust I believe and can be screwed in or out to adjust height. That too piece with the Humpter logo on is removable but I would easily imagine with a controller flight case with the laptop shelf it would easily clear. Alternatively there is an add on laptop stand for the booth. Hope that helps 🤙🏼

Hmmm ... I'm not sure. It's about 140cm x 94cm in the bag. Finessing it into a Golf may be tough, but larger hatchbacks could work.

How is this compared to the ld dave 18 g3? Is it louder? Better low end? Sound quality? Thx
Hey Bazik. I haven’t actually tried the G3 but I did plenty of searching for decent reviews online. At first look on paper it looks like the G3 actually has more power. But the redesign put into the G4 is massive. Mostly the rear control panel and the amount of inputs and control. It just looks much nicer with rubber smooth knobs like on the Maui and backlit glass look panel. The bass from the 18 is pretty solid. If I’m playing a bass heavy gig I do sometimes have to reshuffle the speaker as it moves a little across the floor 😂

Hi. It’s an Ecoflow River power pack. I can highly recommend getting something like this. I have also just got the denon prime Go. Which is a battery co troller. My lights are apelabs which are battery and I can setup a party absolutely anywhere

Hi Michael. I feel the Maui 44G2 have a nicer sound. But if I had two of the Dave 18s side by side against the Maui’s that the dave would be louder. The main difference is obviously the column vs the 2 x satellites. Two sets of Dave give you a huge range of options. But it’s a bigger heavier setup

Would you please share where I can buy the cover of speakers. I bought the same model two months ago without covers and I wouldn’t want them to scratch or destroy fast as I move from place to place often. Thanks
Hi. I would probably try and contact your local ld supplier in your area and see what the delivery times are. The covers are a must
I use 2 x JBL 310 Partybox. Easy to move around and have a clear sound with deep bass. Might ugrade now to JBL 1000 Partybox. Thoughts ?
to each their own. I've used point source speakers for a long time, all kinds, from qsc down to american audio, which is what I started out with. I have always received compliments about how good a dj I was, but never how good the music sounded until the 44g2. over the years I have learned that the audience really appreciates great sound quality over sheer loudness. I'm never going back to point source...as far as mobile dj'ing goes.
Same here column array for life, but with a pair of Turbosound IP 2000’s and a pair of IP 1000’s

Excellent video the fact that you spin jungle is interesting. Curious how you beat match EDM without monitors? I'm assuming you have a more extensive setup when mixing EDM? I would love to see a video on that!
Sorry for the slow reply dude. You know what. I've got so used to mixing without monitors I think I actually prefer without. I came from the vinyl days of listening to my mixes but now its so simple with visual waveforms on the decks. Its like having ears in your eyes lol.

Great Video presentation. I use the EV Evolve 50s for small to what I call medium size gigs under 150 or maybe 200. I have 2 18 inch subs and 2 12 tops for larger events over 200. I find myself considering trading the larger set up for the Bose F1 set up. Mainly due to not needing nor wanting to haul the 18s around. How would you compare this to the Bose F1 and 812 setup.
The bose systems clip very easy. Better than maui you have HK
