Broque Musician

Добавлен 22 мар 2023
Just another broque musician who is obsessed with baroque music.
My name is not important but the story I want to share is. As a classically trained pianist/violinist, I faced significant challenges that were exacerbated by my lack of access to a real piano. This ultimately led me to quit music. After 6 years, I wandered amidst the darkest bilgewater, confined to a ship for 3 years, devoid of life. In a bid to reignite my musical passion, I got an accordion thinking it was a portable piano. It was so much more and is now my favorite instrument. Post-ship life, I discovered the harpsichord. It's lack of dynamics, often considered a limitation, became a source of beauty and intrigue for me. Taking away the familiar dynamics of modern music allowed me to truly appreciate the other subtleties of musical expression.

Bach: Fugue in C Minor - Fugue (BWV 847) Solo Performance by Broque Musician
Просмотров 2 тыс.8 месяцев назад
I discovered the harpsichord 2 years ago and enjoy playing and learning about the instrument even more than the piano. It has been 13 months since I have posted a video because I have been looking for an instrument I can play consistently. I plan to make videos full time now, especially since I was also gifted a broquen (zuckerman single) harpsichord that requires major repairs. For the next 15...

At the time of this video (MAY2022), I have played accordion for 9 months (one hour a week). Since then I have added more voices, ornaments, and dynamics but have not had a chance to make a video due to my occupation. Please enjoy my first draft arrangement of Vivaldi's Winter I. Stay tuned as I'm working on posting a video of the full concerto soon. Thank you for your patience and support! Des...

NEW VERSION! ruclips.net/video/XpNP0cYcJPE/видео.htmlsi=l3xg-Vg2T_Y1szFj Please let me know which video you like better. :) Despite the subpar performance and editing of the two videos from 2023 (this video and ruclips.net/video/oBSU7pYAqaU/видео.html) They serve as a testament to my initial discovery of these instruments and my undying passion. These videos mark the starting point for my self-...

Superb! Loved your playing and arrangement!❤
TOP.
Perfecto!!!❤
another great performance. very nice job with the tempo
what a great performance man
Thank you so much for watching!
Please continue to produce content. These performances are exceptional.
Hi! would you be so kind to share the sheet ? You are amazing!
Very beautiful!!
Thank you!!!!
Where to acquire this harpsichord?
This harpsichord doesn’t belong to me. A friend was introducing me to harpsichords and let me try it out. This instrument was already sold and put into storage.
What an incredible performance ! Thank you for sharing that. Did you made the transcription for harpischord by your or own or did you find a score for that ?
I did make my own transcription, especially for the second version of this song that I posted with the extra ornamentation. But the original scores for harpsichord and orchestra helps a lot. There’s also many versions online. Thank you for your support!! I wonder which version you like better? ruclips.net/video/XpNP0cYcJPE/видео.htmlsi=3RWIaJEd5qlWDZ8K
Excellent rehearsal
Thanks!! Please let me know which version u like more. ruclips.net/video/XpNP0cYcJPE/видео.htmlsi=3RWIaJEd5qlWDZ8K
Wonderful! I love to hear more from you. 🙏
Thank you! Very beautifully played! ❤❤
Sensational performance! Love everything about this. Keep producing content!!!
Very well played, although the harpsichord doesn’t have any dynamics to support the emotion, you have done a fantastic job with the whole feeling and emotion of this song, very impressive! 🤌🤌 (Sorry for any grammatical mistakes as I am not familiar with the language
Wonderful!
An enormous performance from you. Amassing phrasing and you made us realise the power of the harpsichord. I would love seeing you play it on the piano too !!
it’s as if the harpsichord is the whole orchestra itself, like it almost doesn’t even need strings, that’s how rich it sounds. and i applaud you for this performance; it successfully captures the essence of the concerto with an amazing clarity👏
❤❤❤👍👍👍
Yeah! This is how we should hear the power of Bach. Bravo! 🎉👏😍😊🎹
in love with this version.
I also posted a different version! Please let me know which one you prefer :)
its not perfect and not bad
Have you seen my new version?
do you have the score? i like 👍
Yes I do! I can email it to you. Broquemusician@gmail.com
I like all of it but it does have an exceptionally good solo in the middle (when played with small ensemble).
Are you referring to the solo at 4:28?
Badass ❤
You don't want to reveal you name ? What a pity. You deserve to be known.

Well done. Huggies.
Watching again and again, the arragement i very well done, and this harpshichord is a pleasure to listen to
VERY NICE
This is fire! 🔥🎶 Will have to check the other video as well... Such an inventive channel name, by the way - 'cause aren't we all a bit, haha ✨😎
Thanks for commenting!! If you didn’t notice, “broque” is also a homophone with “baroque” style music and instruments which is a focus for this channel
@@broquemusician Definitely noticed that - our specialty as well! 😉 That's why it's such a great pun!
another very good performance, thank you for recording it
Thank you so much for watching!!!
A cascading waterfall of music. I really like baroque.
m.ruclips.net/video/XpNP0cYcJPE/видео.html I wonder which version you like better! Thank you for commenting!!
Wonderful! You play like a big ansamble
Спасибо ❤
wonderfull !
Чуть медленнее и было бы по Гульдовски! Не много ли звона?
ты прав!! Я загружу новую версию с одним руководством вместо трёх и буду играть в более медленном темпе. при одном ручном и более медленном темпе звонков больше.
Excellent. I'm impressed (former Cleveland Orchestra chorister and piano recitalist).
Wow thank you!!!!!!!!! I’m not a professional so that means a lot to me. Thank you so much for supporting me at the beginning of this channel.
Well! I wasn't really a professional either, til I got drafted unexpectedly into the Cleveland Orchestra's chorus by Gareth Morrell, now conducting at the Metropolitan Opera. Quite a backup band we had. I joined AFM that year, so I guess that makes me a pro, but I always thought of myself as an amateur! After hearing you play one of my all time favorite works, all the more so. My favorite version is with George Malcolm at the harpsichord, with Munchinger conducting Stuttgart. Thanks for your kind answer. Kudos ! And hope to hear more! (Hope to support more, too, when I can.) @@broquemusician
@@johnervin8033 I moved to Cleveland just over a year ago. I’ve attended 4 Cleveland Orchestra performances since. For me, it is one of the most valuable aspects of living here.
Fantastic playing. You really bring this to life.
I have really, REALLY enjoyed your performance of this first movement of 1052. The wonderful counterpoint of Bach has been made exceptionally clear and vivid.
Excellent ! 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much!!!
すばらしい!すべてを聞いてみたいですね。It's so fantastic! I would like to listen whole Four Season of Broquemusician version.
Splendide.
This version is more mature and colorful. Great job.
Thank you for commenting! Some people preferred the other version because the harpsichord sounded better to them. In person the green one sounded better to me. I may need to learn better microphone placements and types.
the performance is undoubtely better in this one, altough the audio capture was better in the elder one. Either way, very beautiful work and rendition of the piece! @@broquemusician
Good job
