well considering it was for a tv show they could not include everything that happened..... and yet, maybe this segment should have included everything. A mini-series looking at all the issues that happened. It does lean much in favour of one side and yet, it is a start. Hopefully some brash Eurovision fan journalist will try to get more in depth stories because of this. As much as the EBU said there will be new rules in place and as much as many fans say the same as this RUclipsr - not to make 2025 a repeat of 2024 - it still has that potential. The EBU/ESC is not known for its rigorous policy enforcement. They let one stage jumper crash Spain's performance and less than a decade later another was able to wrestle the mic away from Surie. How could a guy get that close to a performer?? What if he had a weapon in that backpack?? Where's the security in all this? So now we are to believe that things will be better next year?? Maybe if the countries send a bunch of neutral or pro-Israeli artists, but if any come out in opposition, I really have no expectations that drama will not happen behind the scenes. Then what of the fans in the arena?? They simply cannot tell people to clap only. The EBU is always tight lipped about everything - we still have no idea how that guy got a backpack past security in 2018 when the police were otherwise strictly enforcing the ban about big bags. I saw it in action myself. This is really part of the problem- there needs to be a public discussion and evaluation of events. The Facebook fan groups are still exploding with the information and misinformation that circulates and gets published, this video included. People just arent satisfied with the one-page press releases because they really say nothing and offer no closure. Should fans get over it and move on?? Sure but people are still salty about their favourite song not qualifying from over a decade ago... when will that ever happen for fans who feel like the EBU does not have the authority it claims?

Bringing a song from the beginning with political intentions and the possibility of a potential threat from a side that previously attacked Israel (October 7th) brought a risk to all other participants from almost 40 countries. The demonstrations of thousands and extraordinary security measures are the best proof of that. Can't you see it? The security was one of the main topics of discussion in the press center. The question was not to blame the person (Eden is a singer) but to try to find out what she thinks about it. The question had to be asked to a particular artist. By the way. I was also wished dead after that question.

@@szymonstellmaszyk It's not Eden's fault that the genocidal terrorist organization that murdered the most Jews in a single day since the holocaust would be "a potential threat" there. By that logic, Jews shouldn't go outside and do anything due to being terrorist targets. The blame here is not Jewish and/or Israeli people wanting to do stuff but the fact that they need security measures (many of which were provided by their own country). Is it not fucked up that that is needed? You shouldn't have received a death threat. You also could have phrased it in a way where you did NOT lay the blame at her feet. A lot of Jewish people I know found this question to be victim blaming. I will give you the benefit of the doubt! But please listen to us as well for how it comes across.

@@elijahhawaii I don’t know, but they completely lied about the segment on Bambie Thug and translated an obvious joke into an insult in a dead serious tone (I can’t remember it verbatim, but the commentator said something along the lines of “prepare your spells with Bambie” and it was translated to something like “get ready to curse at Bambie”) , and they’ve lied about many many many things before that point too, in very questionable ways. I’ve been working on and off for months on a video on my main channel to debunk all their claims. However, they have deleted their account in response to backlash from this documentary which makes it impossible to verify.

@@LivsArkiv I appreciate the reply. I really find though that this video is in itself a bit of misinformation. For the fans and others involved we know the basics of all the controversy. The segment about the audience turning on the EBU and Martin Osterdahl made it seem like it was because of Israel in the final or if not that at least an undercurrent of anti-Israel sentiment. It totally leaves out that Joost was disqualified the day before and the fans in the arena were incensed at that. Just an FYI, I went to all three jury shows and all three live shows. I was present for all the booing, both at Eden and at Martin. I was right at the security tent at the entrance before the live final when the pro-Palestinian demonstrators tried to rush the entrance and the police had to push them back. I saw some things.
