Let's say your transportation fee daily is around 200(tricycle-jeepney or could be grab(safe to say 100php)) back and forth (home-workplace). and you are not really picky on food 300-500 including times you decide to buy food on higher end(will be much cheaper if you make your own food). You are renting an apartment/townhouse lets say 10,000-15,000. Electricity lets say on the high end 5000-7000. Water safe to assume 2000. Maybe around 650-750$ in the city

alright then let's do the math then as a simple Filipino ( 11/19/2024 USD$ 1 = P 58.65 ) if you live in condo or hotel (only a room)per month P 40,000 minimum + electricity and water bill = approx $950 including the bills (not good) but if you rent a house P 10,000 - 15,000 per month electricity and water bill will be cheaper = approx $320 including the bills (better) for the food per day eating at restaurant that will cost you around $30 per day X30 = $900 per month eat at the local eatery (karinderya) $6 per day X30 = $180 per month live as a foreign (luxurious) expect you need $2000 or more per month live as a Filipino local you only need $500 or less per month

Where will you stay! In the city or rural areas? If in the city you need 30K up depending on the area within the metropolis and if you stay in rural areas where life is very simple you will spend less 30K! A city called antipolo is in between Metro Manila and Province of Rizal. If you have friends there,they might help you to find a 5k rent a month for a very simple house ( maybe abandoned or situated at the tip of subdivision) . Next to Antipolo is Teresa ,Rizal where newly constructed housing projects are on going. There are units there that are not yet occupied but there are owners! Usually they pay 500 plus monthly amortization for a unit and if you knew the owners you ask them if you can stay there and pay a minimal amount per month . You need scooter for transportation. Internet is available in areas where there is signal of Telecom cellsites nearby. The food, buy in clean carenderia ,rice is 10 to 15 pesos per cup, the viand is usually 50 pesos up for meat dishes and 30 pesos or less for vegetables and fried fish . If you buy in 7 11 store it is more pricy but it has more varieties of food usually packed in cups or flat styro containers.but 7 11 offers affordable rate compared to resto.if you stay in remote areas east of Manila and just stay there not visiting Manila i think you need 20 K or less .it is like a hermit lifestyle!😮 .but foreigners from western countries love areas with more facilities so it is possible you prefer Metro Manila area . I am here in upland Tanay,Rizal a rural area and with urban areas in its other parts. It has camp capinpin a military camp sorrounded by semi rural semi urban communities. It is higher in altitude compared to Metro Manila so it has temp. 3 to 5 degrees lower than Manila. The weather is direct effect of Sierra Madre mountain ranges. Altitude according to altimeter app is around 410 meters .

in the province if you are solo: $1,000 minimum per month (if you live like filipino), also depends if you have a short time girlfriend or local friends or tour guide. luxurious lifestyle in the city if you're solo: $3,000-5,000 per month (if you live like filipino). depends if you have gf or local friends as well.

I can say it depends to where you live in the Philippines and what kind of lifestyle you have. It's much cheaper the cost of living in the province.You can live simpler and decent of at least $500 per month esp when you're not renting a house.
