I understand addiction it is very hard and tough, but nobody just waking up and decide they gonna be an alcoholic/addict that day when they wake up, everything happen for a reason, it could be generations, or their own selfishness, or curiosity, environment, or like traumatized,..... When you want to take the easy route in life when you get older it's not so EASY. Work and you will hopefully get more than SSI but actual Social Security. When I became disabled and was homeless I DIDN'T go to the streets to sell my body. My disability was approved quickly and it is more than twice her SSI and I get a pension. When you're young you need to WORK!!! I don't care if it's for someone else or start your own business and put into your social security but WORK. If I hadn't worked and became disabled I would be in her situation.
