this is incredible and i feel like i could compliment every second of it - appreciate you dedicating a whole verse to jiang yanli and how she is also affected by her family's dysfunction, the juxtaposition with the "saving civil war soldiers who probably infected her" bringing a kind of sinister edge to her caretaking. something about her need to please in this nest of conflict coming with a cost - i wasn't an NMJ stan but wow his verse made me so desperately sad for him - "open my legs up to anyone who'll have me" for xiyao? GOD. so nasty but fits so well with the tone that people in-series take with anything to do with JGY - i've never been anti-JGY but i think that cut of him getting up after his two falls from the tower made me a full-on fan. i got chills
