Hi Chip. I've been reading your Batman run. I gotta say I've enjoyed it. I've had to take 7 months off due to DC turning hard into identity politics. But I gotta ask why give Batman a robot hand? Is it connected to Aquaman? Aquaman had a robot hand.

Chip the only problem I have right now about comics is trying to find free time to read them! I have all those issues, and I I’ll always buy them from my LCS!

Hi. I don’t know if you read these or not, but I felt compelled to ask you why do you write thought narration boxes with Batman struggling to get words out? For a generic example, say Batman is fighting Failsafe. The thought box narration goes something like (and I’m making this up) “He’s f-fast! G-got to b-be faster-s-stronger! Can’t l-let him w-win!” I get what you’re doing but people don’t struggle to speak in their heads. Even people who stutter don’t stutter in their thoughts. It would make sense if he’s actually trying to talk while struggling with something, but in his thoughts? This is just a minor nitpick but I couldn’t help but say something. Thanks for reading.

Would love to see Chip's library tour one day

Loving the omni sir 👍 Mine arrived the other day. I have the same cover, but there is a massive blemmish of blue on the red. It looks awful tbh, but because marvel are printing limited copies of DM covers i cant get a replacement. I feel marvel are making some questionable decisions when it comes to collected editions. (And their quality control is also lacking)

Absolutely love your work. Excited for them to do the same with your Daredevil work- you got me back into comics as an adult with the existential nature of that series and the deep moral distress of Daredevil. It’s literature. As a nurse, and also as a minister, your comics inspire me to continue to help people through the distress and chaos of the job, understanding that struggle is apart of trying to improve our communities and contributing to common good. Stories matter- thank you!

This just arrived this week and I love it! I mean, I already knew that since I’d read most of it already, but still! It’s fantastic! And I got the cover you drew. I do have a question though. I noticed there was no forward from you. Could you explain how that decision gets made? I assume Marvel never asked you. Would you have had to basically insist to get it in there? I always love reading a writer’s thoughts on their stories after the fact. If possible, I’d like to see one in your Daredevil omnibuses.
