2,100 sq. ft. Prepped, ready for final vacuum and coating
I am the only one I know of that does this in my area. I like it because it physically shows the work in place for the week and what I'm planning on the following week. It also bolsters pay applications better than still photo's.
I've been using a go pro and didn't have it updated. This will be remedied on friday's video.
Thanks Evan, I just put this stuff out there. I rarely get feedback.
Evan, thanks for the comment. Fortunately, I will not have to prep those floors. Due to exterior elevations, I will be raising the grade approximately 19". This will allow me the opportunity to keep the exterior grade and elements out of my new suites. I will be using compacted dense grade aggregate and capping with a 4" unreinforced floor slab.
GoPro Black. I am using it for onsite documentation. I have a huge noggin, hence the skull vibration. will try it with different attachments. What did you think of the fish eye lens?
What camera was used for this? Obviously head-mounted... Appears to have a fisheye lens and stabilization. Mic also picking up a lot of skull vibration, apparently.
It was a go pro
@@MrAllegiant1 lol I don't even remember watching this video or commenting on it. Syndil is me
@syndil It was 9 years ago. I remember the critique made me pull the camera off my hard hat. I’ve moved on to different levels of job site videos since then.
Evan, I'll post weekly for the entire project. I will definitely show slab placement. I won't however place a vapor membrane between the slabs. I don't want to chance trapping any moisture . The exterior grade over the last 200 years has been built up so much the existing slab is below an adequate level to change this to offices. Reusing as much of the brick & wood structure as possible. Anything being removed is also saved. Thanks for the question
The previous owner was a printing company. The floors had multiple layers of ink sitting there for 8+ years. After scraping the layers down to a manageable stain, we used a alot of Goof Off, agitated it with a scrubber, then used a detergent and cleaned it up from there. It was a 4 week labor intensive project. I had tried 7-8 different chemicals including the manufacturers recommended material.
How did you clean up the floors? Nice lights though.
Used a ride on floor scrubber with citrus cleaner.
just saw them, thanks for the catch. I am using the same Iphone to do the weekly updates. I don't know what's going on.
5,000 psi straight cement with water reducers to aid in curing. That is only a 6" slab with the re-steel you see. Their are multiple layers for the plates & rails that attach in the design. We will make that pour on the 21st of June.
I mistakenly said this site review was at Hurstbourne lane, It is on Blankenbaker Lane.
Any Comments?
I was in quite a rush today on review. Next week will be better.
Yes floor slabs were FF/FL tested with a result of 66.4 & 44.6.. There was no caulking of floor joints in traffic areas.
Great job chris. Try to pull that off for the next one
