Low clear water really hurts the fun. It's not fun sight fishing steelhead. Much more fun with stained or nice green water with fresher fish. I fish year round steel and smack the hell out of em but when it's low and clear and tough fishing it doesn't make it as fun as the fish tend to pool up and takes a lot of the surprise out of the hookup. Good fisherman can catch fish in any condition. Average fisherman dont
