      @@talking2ghosts_archive I don't believe OP is trying to justify stealing. I believe he's commenting on the fact that if you're going to rob someone, it would be more "morally" correct to rob someone with more wealth than someone trying to make an honest living. Put it this way: Not accounting for emotional loss(of which there is a high likelihood), it would probably affect a blue collar worker to steal his truck(and means of working) more than taking the truck of a wealthy individual(wealthy enough in the context that a stolen truck would not be the hugest financial burden). Again, this is not to discount the emotional loss from losing important sentimental items the individual may have had in their vehicle. However, I believe most people would agree that a robbery against a rich individual would have a less drastic effect than taking the backbone of someone's business. I hope you have a wonderful, day/night/whatever time it is for you and that you enjoy the rest of your days. Peace ✌ Edit: Again, this is all in the context of a financial ️burden, and not an emotional. Rich or poor, it would still fucking suck to be robbed of your sentimental assets.

      Have you seen the rest of the roof? It looks in great condition. Saying it needs replacement and just use the insurance means you have no idea what you’re talking about. Have you read an insurance policy lately for houses? They essentially do not cover roofs anymore. You’re far better off just replacing it yourself versus going through insurance. A lot of that was due to the scams down in Florida. It is similar to getting a nail in your tire. Does the shop replace it or patch it? They patch it if it’s still in good condition and in the right spot. Get a life and get more knowledgeable.

    • @DanTheRoofer

      Only put sealant on nail to glue the old top shingle to the nail. Or put sealant on old nail holes on old shingles. No sealant is needed if using all new shingles and not connecting to old shingles.

    Good job, myself i could of done that in less then 30 minute, great trick for that last row you gotta nail at the top is put the nail standing straight so the top shingle sits on it, i usually use the thick parts of the shingle, then give it a love tap so its driven in and still standing up then pul out a flat bar and put it on the nail head then let the shingle sit on the flat bar and hit it until its fully fastened, you can also do this with out a flat bar too but you have a good change too damage that row

    ❓It never ceases to amaze me how a relatively small branch can fall 30-50 feet and punch right through multiple layers of shingles and thick plywood. You'd think that the combined thickness of roofing materials would be strong enough to cause the branch to bounce or glance off and land on its side with no damage to the roof. You'd think that the leaves would cause enough wind resistance to slow down the branch and possibly change its direction of travel, but nope! These crooked, leafy sticks somehow manage to fly as straight as a freaking arrow, and with the magical penetrating power of an anti-tank projectile! Try throwing a blunt, leaf-covered branch like you'd throw a spear, and see if you can get it to fly straight and penetrate a bunch of plywood and shingles. Aint gonna happen! But when it comes to rain storms, nonsensical ballistic phenomenon will ensue!

    • @DanTheRoofer
      @DanTheRoofer 9 месяцев назад

      Great question. Most customers do not want to see patches on there roof. Ice is not needed, you could even do with out felt. Most important is use sealant on shingles. Roofs in the 1980 and back, never had ice, many did not have even tar paper on new homes in the 1970.... As long as you do a good job on the shingles nothing to warry about.

    • @waynelewis1177

      @DanTheRoofer thats fine but we are not in the 1980s lol everything was different then compared to now. why not do a better job and use better products that are available to us now? all homeowners here in nj rather us use new shingles even if you can see patch because tbe common bond will stick instead of using sealant on old shingles which will not out last the bond of new shingles .

    • @DanTheRoofer

    • @waynelewis1177
      @waynelewis1177 9 месяцев назад

      @@DanTheRooferagain you keep saying 20 years ago. lol do you know why starters are used? to seal the shingle on the edge because the bond is on the edge of starter using a shingle does not bond it. plus starters are not cheaper they are more expensive and if you were to get gaf to come inspect roof for warranty if there was and issue they would not give it not trying to ne a dick but come on

  • @waynelewis1177
    @waynelewis1177 9 месяцев назад

    just wondering why you are nailing ridge cap through ridgevent with nail gun? longest nail with gunn is 1 3/4. shingle manufacturers require MINIMUM 2 inch you even stated 2 inch in video 🤔🤔. if you want shingle manufacturers warranty you need to use MINIMUM 2 inch here in nj we use 3 inch and NEVER had a problem. if no ridgevent by all means use nailgun

    • @DanTheRoofer
      @DanTheRoofer 9 месяцев назад

      Timbertex caps are designed for ridge vents and gun nailing. That is why they are so expensive. Using 3 inch nails is overkill. We never had any issues. All companies use nail guns with timbertex caps.... But, hammer and nails is needed, when installing cheap seal a ridge caps. Cant do them with nailgun.... Nail gun nails are always the best. They have the wire on them from the spool, keeps the nail in tight... But you also have to use thin ridge vent for gun nailing. There are 3 thicknesses of ridge vent. Maybe is see you one day in NJ Wayne, Beers on me.
