Do they stay good with no play? The cheap ones i bought have a lot of play even though i lubed and tightened them with spacers. That seems to slow them down a lot
The bearing itself should have no play! Don't crank them down to tight either !

Was it difficult to Ollie with these wheels?
Only in the sense of pop timing changing, and they are hefty. But not too heavy. Nowadays these wheel cruise with my 9.75 deck with half inch risers to allow deep turns. That ones a lil bit tougher to Ollie 🫡

one drawback is that they feel like the drag-on. Stupid puns aside, they feel kinda slow and i have to constantly push to maintain speed for more than 5 seconds.
Interesting! I found they felt a bit bouncy, have you worn them in all the way? When they have the treads still they definitely feel like they are dragging in the ground I agree!

clean your bearings. I have 2 sets of dragons, both are faster than spitfire 97a radial fulls. even on smooth concrete, soft wheels are often times slower on smooth concrete or wood.

I use to just take them completely apart, clean them and put em back together. Lol I made so much money off it too. One of the older guys from the park who was on “flow” gave me like 10 sets of old bearings (so 40 bearings) & a bottle of speed cream & paid me 250$ to clean them all in 3 days before he hit the road with his shop team.
First time I heard of doing it for business. Love to hear it !! Should I try it?
I mean you can try Lol I was maybe 16-17 when I did this and it was mostly for people who went to my school and people at the park, if you know a bunch of people who skate and have old bearings just laying around, pitch the idea to them and see what happens. I pretty much just said “instead of adding to the pile of old bearings why not just have a bunch of clean ones or clean spares to carry around with you”. As an adult I’d probably just get one of those ultrasonic cleaners take the shields off the bearings and just put them in , let em dry and then lube.
