Sounds like you are going to a nursing school like mine (a long, long time ago!). We were only allowed two absences and if you got less than a 80 you were out. You will do great!! A good foundation will serve you well!!

I’m surprised there’s a full bath downstairs since there isn’t a bedroom. Where I live if there’s no bedroom downstairs you only get a half bath. That decor area by the master bath prob has plumbing or something going on inside. I think the builder should’ve done it diff to push it back towards the wall. That way you could have a bigger shower. Congrats on the house! A 4 bed/3bath house seems like the perfect size.

I’m not happy in the second assisted living facility I’m at. It’s been a discouraging process transitioning into the nursing field. I left counseling/psychotherapy. I haven’t even acquired any licenses yet 😢

Lmao I was one of only 3 ppl who showed up in my scrubs for orientation. Everyone else was dressed in regular clothes. I'm like is this gonna be an issue that I showed up in this. They're like not at all , you can wear whatever you want. But I kinda liked it bc it showed them I was ready to work. So I think it makes you stand out to your future coworkers

Hi! New subbie. I’m a RN in surgery. We use I-stat for coagulation levels…especially in vascular surgery. It can also check blood gases, electrolytes, and metabolites…that’s probably what the ICU uses it for the most. Good luck in nursing school. I remember that journey! Try not to stress too much. 😊

Not for nothing for all the new people coming into nursing for the 💰 I've been saying this since 2012 ESPECIALLY not being loyal to a company the high school Shit is at EVERY PLACE no matter the job but it's annoying how much it's in the health field I'm in nyc and I've always been the 1 go in work clock out made 1 work best friend turned best friend and she told me people ask her how she became my friend because I don't F with NOONE on the job I've seen and heard too much😒 and the work isn't all that rewarding because a lot of cnas run some spots.... I'm going to make a vid about working in nyc hospitals and nursing homes because I've worked in ALOT of spots😂😂😂😂 I'm quick to quit if some b.s happened and it doesn't get addressed properly
