Ok. I’m not trying to say the 2011 Joplin was weak but there is only one tornado that can compare, The 2013 El Rano if you don’t know what it is, it was the latest we ef5 and one of the strongest. I’m so sorry for everyone’s loss in the 2011 outbreaks of EF5s.

The Tri-State Tornado was deadly tornado that lasted for about 3.5 hours. It got the name “Tri-State Tornado” by the fact that it went across 3 different states including Illinois. It was a EF5 rated tornado and it was said to be the deadliest tornado ever recorded in history.

No by far the worst was either the tri state or one of the tornados that hit a country like just east of africa which killed over 1600 people. Also for american history the most devastating tornado was the jerell f5 or the dead man walking tornado which left no debris behind and only went over one neighborhood and killed almost everyone in it.

My mom and my uncle helped with the cleanup after the tornado hit. I was three years old and didn’t go with them so I don’t remember much about it but according to her it was absolute carnage and the pictures don’t do it justice.

You forgot to mention that it was rewrapped. The Joplin tornado was completely rewrapped meaning that you could barely see it making it 10 times even more scarier I’m sorry to all those who lost their lives or lost many loved ones because of this tornado.

Research the Jarrell,TX high end F5 tornado of 1997 dubbed the dead man walking tornado. A smaller city than Joplin ( less than 3,000 people) but did horrific damage. It stalled out over a subdivision for 3 minutes. Total killed- 27 The subdivision completely disappeared
