Another side to missing your period could be (the possibility that) there was a pregnancy but it was not viable so it came out as menses. I had all signs of pregnant before missed the period then just have period while still having signs. What happened?

@@everythingmommies5181 last month in the 12th I went for a pap smear the doctor said everything is fine. Like two weeks later I start my period from April 26-may 1st I went off every day on an off after my period I've been spotting but around that time I started taking prenatal vitamins because my doctor asked me was I trying to concieve because my daughter is already 10 an I've been trying an it hasn't happened. But I've been spotting for 20 days now during ovulation it was a lil heavier like implantation bleeding it lasted maybe a day or 2 that was 6 days ago. I've been spotting on an off again since then but it's only when I wipe an I'll spot maybe once or twice a day an that's it. Took a pregnancy test 1 day after ovulation it was negative so idk what's going on

The spotting isn't consistent it comes an goes. 6 days ago I was supposed to ovulate the spotting got a little heavier like implantation bleeding but it stopped. I started spotting again after light spotting but only when I wipe. Took a test 1 day after ovulation it was negative so idk what's going on

Per your description of what you felt and the timing too, it seems you were still having your period or you were nearing the end of it. But if it (the cramping and fever) happened around your ovulation period, it could be normal (early pregnancy signs). Implantation will happen before your next period.
