he whole point of this daylighting law (AB 413) is to save lives and make crossing the street safer. The 20-foot (or 15-foot) buffer zone is based on studies showing that blocking the first car-length near a crosswalk dramatically improves visibility and reduces pedestrian-involved accidents. Even though it can feel inconvenient-especially in areas where parking is tight-transportation officials believe it’s a worthwhile trade-off to prevent collisions and injuries.

This law is helpful because these spaces need to be available for prostitution

Limited parking as it is AND there are no markings to make drivers aware…terrible. How about we focus on improving the roads and get rid of all unnecessary bike lanes, no one uses them and the streets are narrow for no reason.
