I appreciate the history lessons. I didn’t get in on Alpha & beta, but I was there for revised and been playing ever since. if you would’ve told me in seventh grade that I would be playing this game in my 40s, I would’ve told you that you were insane.

When I started playing, we bought cases of revise straight from wizards! It was glorious and way cheap!

That thing could be resold for 1.2 mil. I saw one on eBay being auctioned for that much with bids

I have to look at all my cards now. I have a lot but haven't looked at them on over 20 years

Imagine opening one of these starter decks today 28 years later and getting 20+ of these rares in your hand… your literally talking possible $200,000+ in card value…. OR it goes the total opposite way and you get all commons and no rares… Crazy

Ex Judge: It you have marked cards, YOUR opponent is going to counter stack you. Know that guy or groups winning locals for 15+ years? Counter stacking. They don't cheat or top deck, but they use friends, girlfriends, sleight of hand etc. to stack your draws with Lands and dead cards.

Great video! If I may make one suggestion.. have you seen a volcanic island from beta with the 2 white markings on the bottom of the front of the card along the edges?

In my opinion, the only thing that is keeping this channel from being 100k+ is the camera work and editing. Adding a high res image of whatever you are describing instead of a non-steady zoom would keep attention more and show the information better. Bonus points for graphic description overlays. But what do I know...

I can always tell a fake Pokémon collector , they always breeze pass the commons and uncommons......... that’s the nostalgia, not everyone got the holo some kids just grew up with a oldish card , plus you weighed the packs out so no need to fake excitement when you pull the predictable weighted pack y’all planned out

Cool video, I didn't know there were so many misprints in Alpha! Can you do a video on the different formats of Magic? Standard, Modern, EDH, Commander and what not? Talk a little about how to play them and some staple cards for each format?
