I am the Tinker King. I have been tinkering with stuff mechanical, electrical and others for over 35 years. 8 years in the US Air Force(1982-1990) working on the structure of SR-71, U2, KC-135, T-38 and F-15 Aircraft have given me tons of mechanical skills. I have been in the video production industry for 25 years from a hobbyist to professional Video Producer. I also have installed audio and video equipment for 6 years for the A/V company Whitlock. I have built garages, bathrooms, closets, and kitchens. I love working on all kinds of videos, costumes, contraptions and other projects of wonder.
Roof vent fix
I had a Roof leak around a vent pipe. I got some flex tape to fix it with.
I got a friend to help me fix it.
I hope the fix will last several years

Brain Casting Test
Просмотров 694 года назад
I was allowed to use a right brain hemisphere to do a trial molding to use for our medical school. We plan on making multiple models for the students to use. We are using Smooth-On Dragon Skin 10 Medium to coat the brain with. It allowed me to work with the silicone for 20 minutes before setting up. This made an amazing mold shell. I have learned a lot from this test and will be able to use tho...

The Tinker Kings took a trip to a seminar to learn "Molding Basics" from the expert technicians at Reynolds Advanced Materials in Charlotte, North Carolina. To learn how to better use Smooth-On silicone molding as well as polyurethane, epoxy resin, foams and other materials and examples of what can be made from these products. They learned a great many techniques, and were exposed to the possib...

This is a longer version of the Part 12 video that shows a more detailed of our building process to make the rotocaster machine. I spent over 7 hours recording these videos I was able to cut it down to under and hour. I think I spent more than 15 hours looking into the design and build of this machine. If you have any questions please comment below!

Brain Stem Casting - Part 12 - Building a Rotocaster
Просмотров 1715 лет назад
I wanted to reproduce the feel of the original model, as it is hollow like a rubber duck. So the best way I believe is to coat the inside of the mold with my material in rotations. So I set out to build a home made Rotocaster. I used a design based on Mark Shultz rotocaster: makezine.com/projects/make-41-tinkering-toys/diy-rotocaster/ My friend Mike and I built it. I 3d printed the parts. and p...

Why did you waterproof beneath the stairs? Lol
You’re the best !
Thanks for the great ideas. Nice job.
Thanks 😊
Hey King thanks for the video! I actually did something similar a few years back under my deck and while it's dry, leaves and debris get stuck at the perlins all the time. I'm going to be installing a second section and am trying to figure out a way to mitigate that issue. My first idea is to simply trace the cross section of the wave roof lines anto a board and cut it out to there is enough room for water and any leaves to pass thru, but that's a LOT of cutting to do. Any other ideas?
Exactly what I was looking for!!! Can you do a mancave under there?
My chain came out hopefully my husband can see this video and get it back in
So, if I'm building a vacuum sealer that will go to 10# vacuum, I should be fine with a 5 gallon steel bucket with a steel lid with a seal. Or use 6" or 8" pvc and fittings.
Thank you so much, You saved my $100 stand up lamp that I love. It took just seconds to fix.
KING 👑👑👑 thank you so much!
I love my lamps so much and was afraid I was going to have to replace them. Thank you for taking the time to make this video ❤
But how do you take the fixture off from the lamp pole? Are there screws or something?
Hello from Hudson Valley New York ! Just found your chn. Great set of vids you have on this just subbed. Straight forward! Now that 3 yrs have past how is it holding up? And any problems with critters Bats, birds, chipmunks taking up residence? If so any suggestions to stopping it? Keep up the content Update vid would be great! Hopefully starting my project very soon. God bless and take care.
Impressive, especially doing the stairs. Liked the idea of temp string to use as 2d set of hands. All very helpful for my intended undertaking for my under deck dry storage. thank you for sharing.
We want to do this to a lake home that is surrounded by trees. Our issue is the debris that falls between the upper deck boards - how do you clean that out?
Pulled on my chain too hard and this exact thing happened
Thankyou!
Thanks my son broke the chain had to replace it and the nearest store with this kind of fixture switch is like 200 km away but I fixed it now I am forever in your debt lol jk
Best video!!🎉 learned so much and it's exactly what I was looking for!
Need to put a smaller bucket inside, and concrete in between
Thank you blessings
Fantastic idea thanks for sharing this video with the world
You doing a great job brother and thanks a lot you inspired me to do the same😊
Thank you it worked for me!
👍👍👍
Thank you for documenting your progress and problem solving! Much better than those videos where people pretend they've got it perfectly planned out from the beginning.
Thank You for your help!!!! Very helpful!
Brilliant! Thank you! It did take the tiniest bit of WD-40 applied with a Q-Tip, but it's working like new again.
Thank you for sharing! I thought I'd have to replace a beautiful lamp of mine, but i just fixed it! Great teaching video.
The "smoke" is vaporized water from the air inside the chamber. The boiling point drops significantly as the pressure drops.
This is the video I was looking for. I’m looking to pull 20” of Mercury or more on a regular basis to dry some metal parts without excessive heat. Homer bucket is not going to do it.
Thank you! My brand new lamp needed this. Easy fix and worked the first time.
Thank you!
I thought I'd try your fix, but when I got the socket open, I found my chain wasn't stuck down, it was stuck in the up position. All I had to do was add a drop or two of household oil onto the ratchet bar. I used a screwdriver to move the little silver thing (in your video) down enough so I could get a drop of oil behind it. I pulled the chain and added another drop on the other side of the ratchet bar. I pulled the chain several times to work the oil in and it works like a charm! I had to do all three sockets on my huge floor lamp. If your info had not been out there, I would have had to replace all three sockets. I would vote yours as the best video on RUclips!!!
This is awesome! We are putting up a 33' x 16' deck now and this is a very nice and easy way to add a nice looking water system. Well done. The see through sheets allow sun which will fight algae and whatnot. Where did you buy the clear sheeting?
Well this answers my question. Definitely can't use a plastic 5 gallon bucket with a vacuum lid to remove bubbles from 5 gallons of epoxy resin.
Nope! I tried. Lol
Thank you so much
DH un sa as eu un
Thank you!!
Uhhhhhhhh..... lightning strikes????
That is very cool thank you
Thanks for watching!
with all that work you did i would rather pay someone to do a standard pool closing an d opening
Ok
Im interested in that ladder!! Do you have a video for it?
I don’t have a video for it. But I created it from stair risers from Home Depot. To make it steep I made them go the other way than what they were made for. I had a 4x4 post and cut it to fit the top and made a platform. Then just boxed everything in with 2x4 pieces.
Great job thanks for sharing!!
My friend, you are truly a life saver. Thanks so much for sharing this video. You're awesome!!!!
Thanks! Thanks for watching!
Thank you very much! Saved my floor lamp.
This was the best tutorial ever. I used it about 5 months ago and now I’m back using it again, it worked both times. Thanks for the quick and easy tutorial
Thanks for watching!
@@tinkerking6785 np!!
this is exactly what I was looking for - thank you!!!
I’m glad it worked for you! It was been working great for me!
Thank you for part 3 and showing how everything came out. Most other videos just showed them putting the system in but never showed if it worked or not.
Thanks! It still works great! Thanks for watching!
I had a chain break, seeing your video made me realize how easy it was to get the chain back on. Thanks!
