Vibrating Mirrors - Chinese Rizoma Knockoff Mirrors from eBay
Don't buy knock-off Chinese motorcycle parts on eBay. Here's why. Fake Rizoma mirrors magically turn away from you at high revs. No way to tighten them.

BMW S1000R motorcycle traction control works!
Просмотров 9 тыс.7 лет назад
I was on a low-key ride in the twisties when I hit a bad patch of gravel coming out of a turn. I'm usually capable of spotting oil, gravel, dirt, etc. on the road. But a tree cast a shadow over this gravel patch making it nearly invisible. I guess I hit the throttle a little too hard coming out of the turn. Also, I was riding on cold tires. It was about 54F outside and I had only been riding fo...
BMW S1000R - Wunderlich Touring Screen Review
Просмотров 10 тыс.8 лет назад
BMW S1000R - WUNDERLICH TOURING SCREEN REVIEW Verdict: An easy to install, nice looking, affordable windscreen that will cut wind blast and helmet wind buffeting by about 50%. There is significantly more wind noise with the screen than without. Wunderlich offers a "sport" screen, a "touring" screen, and a "marathon" screen. The "sport" screen is the best looking windshield I've seen for the S10...

Neighborhood Ride Through Chico
Просмотров 3028 лет назад
This is just a quick ride through my neighborhood in Chico, CA. Nothing exciting happening here. Just a little Honda CB300F doing its thing. I filmed this mainly because I wanted to check out the position of the GoPro on my helmet. Also, I used iMovie for the first time to edit the video. Why did I upload this? Who knows. Maybe someone will get some use out of it. There are some really nice rid...
Cohasset Ride - Honda CB300F

Ride down Cohasset Rd. in Chico, CA. Northern California has some amazing rides. It really is an excellent place to be a motorcycle rider. The video doesn't do justice to the scenery. It looks a lot nicer in real life. Sorry for the shakiness and the video quality. I'm still playing around with camera settings and mounting positions. I think a helmet-mounted camera would better illustrate how n...
2015 Honda CB300F Review and Ride

A review of my 2015 Honda CB300F followed by a ride down Cohasset Rd, outside of Chico, CA. UPDATE AFTER 1,000 MILES -On a single-lane highway with a slight incline, this bike will struggle to maintain 60 mph. I have often had to pull over to let cars pass. It's still very quick while in town and will beat most cars easily. -At sustained highway speeds, this bike will start chugging fuel. The e...
does windshield make some turbulence or any kind of problem
1st test ride out on my new bike 2018 s1000r, taking into account conservative winters road conditions ( thank my lucky stars) it did the exact same thing going into a right hand corner at about 70- 80kph normally 100kph in the summer dry conditions. Lost the front end as released the brakes and initiating tirn in the fron sled forward ploughing through a wash of gravel from the opposing carriage way spill over.. i just didnt see it. Glad you stayed on also.. i would have been well dark with myself, for it's 1st outing with a new joker in the saddle. I've only been riding 37 drop free years. ( long may that continue. fingers cross)
The bmw TC is some of the best i have ever witnessed. It saved me from puddles many times
7 years later but this is me every time I go through my front yard when it's muddy
Compra uma Lambretta
Hey dude thanks for educating us on how the indicator and horn works. Really had me puzzled....
Fuel.injected?
Yes it is
Thank you for this video and well explained
Thanks I’m gonna buy this one found a 2016 , great review. How often he need a service and maintenance? Thanks
Thank you so so much! You helped me and many others on RUclips. You deserve my 👍👍👍👍👍.
Shit mirrors but you can tighten the Allen bolt with a extension.
I know and understand this video is 4 years old but I can't help but say 4 things friend 1 you did an excellent review for 2 weeks in honestly think you knew more then I did at 2 weeks about our bike but it's an amazing machine I love her 2 you pointed out the lights I hate how when you activate the high beams it switches off the low beam because honestly at night in the dark it leaves a blank spot in the center leaving you blind or constantly repressing the lights on high off on off ughhh 3 dynamic is actually insanely different then road but in the first I think 15,000 miles or something it's got a limiter from the dealership always and that I can definitely see effecting it personally I've done over a thousand km and only tried dynamic the other day when I know I was really going to use it and how animalistic it ended being like how much increase in power scared me away from trying dynamic pro all in good time lol I honestly love and cherish my baby Belle (my s1000r) 4 and you probably know but if you hold the suspension button you can change between 1 and 2 riders anyway great stuff man hope you still have her and treat her right!
Fully autonomous side mirror
Excellent thanks.
Very unobtrusive looking. I wanted the XR for the nice fairing and screen but couldn’t get over the need for a step ladder to climb on. The R fits like a glove.
Good thorough review. I just bought a 2015 model yesterday. I like it.
Looked like possibly target fixation going into that small angle corner, also speed was low, don’t think TC played a role there but like many say, you got lucky.
Why’d you jump on the throttle before apex while adding lean??
This was not traction control, this was the Hand of God! :D
I several bikes much bigger already but I found one same color same year very low miles very good condition for $2,600 and I just might get it.
WoW! There is a lot of luck included in this technical process 😅.
Thank you, am looking at buying this screen. Looks like it will do the trick
And. Did it?
Very good video bro, I don't have more questions, I think I ready to buy it!
Very informative video! Thanks buddy! I'm thinking to buy one S1000R, are you offering this motocycle with 100 %? :)
thanks for this
Is it worth it? What is the maximum speed that u can sustain with this screen?
If you don't mind wind noise, then yes, it's worth it. Maximum speed? How fast can your bike go?
@@martycalifornia1414 i own the same bike as yours.. S1000R, so what os the maximum speed that u can sustain with this screen?
you just got lucky bro.
Hi I'm one of your subscriber, just want to make sure you're okay because of that wild fire.
JasonJRB Thank you so much. That’s very nice of you. There are no fires in my town specifically, but our air quality is very bad. Really hoping it will clear soon.
Brother, I don't think that was the traction control. That looked more like the hand of God 🤔. Reading one of the other comments and having the same bike (or any with TC), when TC saves you the amber light will flash on the dash. I might have missed it on you clip TBF. Ride safe!
On my FZ-09, the height if the windscreen put the turbulence right at the underside of my helmet. I had to modify the angle of the screen to lower the turbulence to lower the noise. How did the windscreen affect the turbulence on your BMW? I am debating on the purchase of that bike.
b DuChateau Bad turbulence and bad wind noise. I had to take the screen off. I gave it away to a friend.
Thanks for the quick reply. It looks like no screen or the marathon screen for highway use.
I had the same problem with the aftermarket screen. The vibration the screen made bounced off on the helmet and the helmet vibrated my brain so bad I couldn't ride the bike longer than 20 minutes. I discussed this problem with the riders association members I ride with and it turns out the problem is more widespread than anyone of us cares to admit to. Its embarrassing to admit you spent a good amount of money on something that doesn't work. I eventually found a plastic supplier who cut the screen twice for me. The smaller the screen became the less vibrant it was. And I came to the conclusion that the problem was not the screen but the bracket design (original equipment) was made for a much smaller screen compared to a much larger surface pushing air in front of the machine. Proof? go look at a screen bracket from a GS or an RT compared to what you have. Can I buy and install that same bracket on my bike? LOL. It'll never happen. Stop wasting your money.
@@martycalifornia1414i just want to order windshield, but after reading Comment i stop.so its anoying to drive with it ?
Yo...you forgot the one/two helmets sign to setup if there is one or two riders on and the front and back brakes that are conected...but good vid and very good bike.Got one as well month ago :))
can you do wheelie when you're on dinamic mode? how about road mode?
mate!!! i thought you crashed!!!!!!! thank God.
my dream bike
Fadhil I've had it for almost a year and it still surprises me.
I have an S1000R 2014. How do you change the suspension for a passenger? The dealer told me but I forgot. Thanks.
Nicholas Stoia Oops. I guess I forgot to mention that in the video. To change from 1up to 2up and vice versa, you just press and hold the DDC button. You'll see one or two helmets on the display to indicate how many riders the suspension is set up for.
Marty California Can you adjust DDC manually - can you get into the menu called Set DR. That on the HP4 allows adjustment of compression and rebound for individual modes.
Thx mate. I'm very seriously thinking about trading my Tiger 800 in on a MY17. Since I rode one on the weekend, it is all I can think about what are the downsides to having this bike ( if there are any)?
Mike McLeod The only thing that bothers me about it is that the mirrors get really blurry at speed. I had to buy aftermarket mirrors to decrease the blur. Other than that, just small stuff. The low beam turns off when you turn the projector light on. Would be better for both to stay on. Mine doesn't have shift assist up and down, ABS pro or auto blipper. MY17 does. All the other faults come with the category. Wind resistance, but all nakeds have that. Overall, love it. Better fuel range than the tuono. Fast like a rocket.
Umbraco. Inside. ""
Just purchased my 2017 S1000R yesterday. Thanks for helping figure out the menu. The salesman was in a rush. I'm ready to pick her up!
Heath3250 Congrats! You're going to love it. I'm still in love with my bike. It's seriously such a versatile bike. You can track it. You can tour with it. I look forward to seeing some videos of your new bike!
Thanks man! Hopefully I can get some posted soon.
No way to tighten them?
GrizzlyJ44 Yup. Someone just showed me how to do it. Fixed the problem :)
Marty California please share as I've got a pair en route from china
GrizzlyJ44 Do you see the gap in the mirror stem? You can actually fit an Allen wrench in that gap. There is a screw that connects the mirror to the stem. Just engage the screw, hold the mirror tightly but carefully and turn. That should tighten it up. Try it and let me know if you still need help.
Wow that's awesome. I just got the exact same bike two days ago. Is traction control available in all driving modes except Dynamic Pro? Thank you
I believe it is available in all modes, including dynamic pro, but it is not as sensitive as in the other modes. You have to manually turn it off if you want it off completely. The manual has a good description of each mode.
E.S. Slc yes it is but it’s steps down a notch ...
Think of the riding modes as progressively giving you less electronic aids and a more responsive throttle. Dynamic and Dynamic pro mode still have wheelie control and tc but pro mode lets you wheelie your balls off and helps you to not loop the bike. regular dynamic will let you wheelie a bit but it gradually pulls you down.
I'm really interested in this bike. I wish they put a real fairing and windshield on it.
Linwood Gallop There is a version available with fairings and a windshield. It's called an S1000RR 😜😊 j/k. I know what you mean. The closest thing to a super naked bike that actually has fairings and a windshield is prob the Suzuki GSX-S1000F or the Kawi Ninja 1000. And now prob the Ducati Supersport.
Marty California lol... I like the seating position on the r. I would just like a good fairing and windshield lol
and the ninja 1000 is what I have. Good bike, but I would like, more horse power, cruise control, heated grips, better suspension and all those wonderful electronics... I'm like a woman when it comes to bikes, I want it all. lol
Linwood Gallop I just got one two days ago and it's the best bike I ever had, and I had 9 bikes in the last four years. Insane torque :)
What about the S 1000 XR? I know it's more like an adventure bike but it has the same engine and is tuned exactly the same as the S 1000 R. It has fairings and a windshield. Personally, I like the way a naked bike looks. But the S 1000 XR isn't ugly either. Have a look!
can you ride with low and high beam or did low beam turned off when you hit the high beam?
George fz07 Good question. The low beam turns off 2 seconds after you turn the high beam on. It's annoying. I wish there were a way to ride with both on.
Is this the clear or the tinted one?
Cachenco River Tinted.
Marty California there was a comment about six months ago from "the barber" indicating this screen could be dangerous on highway speeds over 90 mph. Have you experienced any flaws with this windscreen? Thanks
Not at all. No problems at speed.
Marty California thanks
very awesome, helpful and first-of-a-kind review buddy!! keep making videos like this mate!!!
Great demo. Thank you so much! 👍
Glad ur safe! nice traction control
mmm i wonder if the Rizoma Elisse knock off do this - i'll report back - thanks for the info
wow I haven't seen your new videos for a while. Welcome back !
Haha. Yah. I've been lazy. But I thought this was worth sharing because it might help someone stay safe.
Loose gravel? Isn't there a traction control indication light when it's engaged? Glad you were able to stay upright. Ride safe.
George Carmen Yup. Gravel that I didn't see because a tree cast a shadow on it. And yes, if you look closely in the slow motion clip, you can see the traction control light blinking.
if you're looking at this for a first bike but you have a lot of highway to ride go ahead and pony up for the CB500F the extra engine capacity should be enough for more highway use, but its not drastically more powerful
