I actually made it up on the synthesizer based on the sound of the muselar. Muselar is a kind of harpsichord, I think its timbre is more suitable for expressing the musical works of the sweelink period. This sounds as if it’s actually played and it makes a huge difference over so many midi realisations. Very nicely done.
Is this midi playback? - all voices seem to have the same tempo changes throughout... imo rubato should be a way of bringing out a single voice in contrast with the others. Not meant to be a criticism, but I struggle with this issue myself when multitracking, which is very different from playing in an ensemble. Just thinking aloud really. Anyway, nicely done.

This channel is what I have been waiting for since I first discovered Bach. Thank you so so much for fulfilling this half-life long desire of mine to hear his works recreated electronically.
You maybe already knew of her, but the one that pioneered the synthesis of classical music (and pioneered electronic music as a whole) is none other than Wendy Carlos, her album "Switched-On Bach" referenced on this video's title too, was her debut album containing works by Bach played on the Moog, the first commercial synthesizer and a very important of the history of electronic music, it's absolutely beautiful and I do reccomend buying the record (as there are many for very cheap prices on sites like eBay or anywhere where old record are resold for cheap) because, due to the company that legally owns her music, none of her music is online, only physical copies. It can also be due to her being critical of the MP3 format, so streaming services are out of the question. You can find, however, the first Switched-On Bach album (yes there is more) recorded off a record, the quality could be better, but it is all we got, there used to be yotuhe vidoes of the albums too but they got deleted as any attemp of sharing her music online does.

Whats the point into dropping a Midi file into the daw and just selecting some moogy sounds. It sounds as soulless.
Although I did make it with MIDI files. But it has panning, volume and channels change with time. Tempo can also be restored through MIDI. Rather than simply loading a moog Plugin and playing MIDI can be done. Mixing in post is also a very complex task, and I should to make sure that every channels is clearly to heard and not blurred. I want to used classic moog synthesizer plugin to synthesize sounds like Wendy Carlos' style, and this plugin is difficult to make sounds like that.There were several versions of this video before this video.
