Came here after seeing the New superman trailer Had to come bak & experience this AWESOME INTRO RIP CR!!! you will never b replaced
Yep!
I cannot even imagine getting confronted with Star Wars (1977) AND THEN Superman (1978). 👁👄👁 👁👄👁👁👄👁👁👄👁👁👄👁👁👄👁👁👄👁👁👄👁
Still the best intro/theme song of all-time (or right there with Star Wars)
I hope the Gunn movie uses this for its intro, the theme that is.
Superman movie that paved the way for all superhero movies afterwards. The music let the world know comic characters can make the jump to the big screen
Who's here after watching the new Superman trailer with its electric guitar version of this iconic score?
I'm here after watching James Gunn Superman trailer and I hope the new Superman film have a opening credits like this 1978 Superman that still rocks every time I re-watch it John Williams music score for Superman (1978) brilliant 👌
The crystal blue credits in space from the teaser trailer seem to hint at return of the space credits.
Who's here after the trailer of Superman by James Gunn? 🤚
Judging from the trailer, I would not be surprised if we get opening titles just like these! In the James Gunn trailer you can see the cosmos background with text very similar to what you see in these credits! I really hope he goes that route for the new movie!
Same here
There are so many reboots on Superman with great music scores. This one is the best. Thank you Mr. John Williams and Christopher Reeve.
John Williams is a God
The titles went on so long I fell asleep during them in 1978
I’ve seen plenty of opening credit sequences from the 70s and earlier and they were definitely all very long because they had to stuff everything that they normally put in the end credits at the start because a lot of old movies didn’t even have end credits.
A part of me hopes to see that comic sequence remade or at least a nod/reference in the new Superman movie
Who is here after watching the new trailer in 2024!!!
Me!!
Me too!
Hopefully the electric guitar rendition of this epic score doesn't make the finished movie.
Gunn’s trailer only drove me back here.
Here after watching new Superman trailer
The Superman teaser 🔥 🔥 🔥
OMG the new Superman trailer played an orchestra version of this theme
My guess is Margot Kidder was not a big star then? Her name came way later in the credits.
This along with the Amityville Horror(which came a year later) were her first major roles. Before this, she was in Black Christmas, which was more of a cult movie.
Who's here after the new Superman trailer?
It's hard to explain how the 6 years old boy that I was felt when I saw this opening for the first time and heard that powerful music. It was just mindblowing and I knew I would love that movie and character for the rest of my life
I just want to know if I'm the only one who always wanted these sound effects in the OST version? Cause they give me goosebumps and the theme feels like it's missing them when I hear it alone.
Thank you for this.
EVEN SPIDERMAN OPENING CREDITS DIDNT TOP THIS......VERY FEW HAVE
Anyone here after the teaser teaser trailer for Superman?
Me 🙌
Los créditos superan a todas las últimas películas de marvel
I still remember this blowing me away as a kid 😢
I'm here because the new teaser sounds likethe one from the this one.
❤❤😂 just to create a nice Google account to have a watch a short eposide
Born mid 70s, grew up in the 80s, and I can honestly say even now approaching my 50s, the opening credits still make me feel like a kid and at 1:13 the goosebumps and emotion hit. John Williams is a genius. A true legend. People often talk about songs evoking memories of childhood, and whilst that’s true for me too, I’d say film scores hold the true power for me. ❤
We heard the teaser. Who's praying this is going to be in Superman 2025? Edit: I meant the song. I didn't even think of the amazing intro itself.
Hollywood doesn’t really like doing opening credits in movies anymore, but maybe.
My eyes begin to water and I get the chills every time I see the S in this introduction.
Just those first few notes of music puts be straight back at the cinema in 1978
The musical score that made you believe a man could fly!
46 years later and they still make you believe that a man can fly
James Gunn better make it right.
My god, chills.
This Thursday it's time to look up
The Greatest Superhero Movie Of All Time.
Coming in 2025, the story continues after Superman 2
I’m watching this video right after seeing the new poster for Superman 2025!!
Me too 😁
something like this is coming in 2025...
The comic book becoming real is pure cinematic GENIUS WHAT AN OPENING SEQUENCE WITH THE CREDITS AND WILLIAMS SCORE MAGNIFICENT
2024 still to this day this opening credits intro is epic I was a baby when this film came out but as a 10 year kid watching this for the first time I was blown away. Still getting chills 👏🏻🙌
1989 batman: hey clark
I think my jaw literally dropped to the floor the first time I saw this in the theater in '78.
The greatest opening credits in cinema history!Best super hero movie and amazing song! WOW what a combo!❤❤❤❤❤😊
I’m 45 now and even though SUPERMAN is the best character superhero that made us all believe that a man can fly great greatness thanks Richard donner and the legendary actor Christopher Reeve and composer John Williams thanks buddy peace
From 2:55 to 3:15 my eyes water up everytime. A reminder not only of childhood, but to a time when people were still human beings and not bots arguing on the internet all day. A time when movies were actually movies, experiences, and memorable. Before everything became a political statement. When originality ruled. This is still the best opening ever, everything on tv should start like this 😂.
