I don't know why so many reactors are surprised by Skye shooting Ward, like she still has any feelings for him. She made it very clear during his captivity that she hated him. After he escaped she said they should "put the son of a bitch down." After he kidnapped her she said hand me your sidearm and let's find out when he asked about her marksmanship. She said we have played this game of let's kidnap Skye before and it didn't end well for you. She made it pretty clear without threatening it that if she had an opportunity to get ahold of a gun she would kill him.

Mrs Flood did not know who owned the police box at the beginning (accusing her neighbour abdul) and later looked shocked when it dematerialised in front of her near the end of the episode. So I dont think she is an existing character in the Doctors history. Only at the end she knew about Tardis*es*, which is a mystery. I dont think she she came over as malicious and I think she is maybe a bit too old to be ruby's birth mum.

I’d say that it’s very low odds that it is the Rani unless her regenerations have *very* different guiding purposes: the Rani was all about genetic experimentation, much like the Doctor’s driving impulse is to explore and help others, & the Master’s is to get the Doctor’s attention (disguised as him wanting to take over the universe). The untempered schism caused the children to run away, go mad or be inspired: the Doctor, the Master & the Rani. Great reaction! 💜💜➕🟦

I have generally liked your reaction videos for this show. But I want to suggest that when you edit the pieces you want to show and talk about, that you make sure to include the key dialogue that illustrates your points. And then, when you decide to react/comment on those pieces, maybe you can pause the playback to speak and than resume the playback afterwards -- that way, you're not talking over everything.

Tao operates on fear of loss and protectiveness of Charlie. (The sources of these are more fully explained in season 2) Tao also makes the logic error of guilt by association: Nick is on a rugby team that also has homophobes and bulies, so Tao thinks Nick is like that, too. (Tao improves in episode 8 and again in season 2)

It actually looked like Nick had no idea that Imogen named Saturday for the date. Harry says that she tole EVERYBODY that it was Saturday, so Nick covers for her and says that he forgot. (Also, notice that Charlies birthday party starts at 4pm ( IF Nick and Imogen do go on the date, it could start later, like 8pm)

Imogen says that she's known Nick since 7th year. They are both in 11th year, so they've been friends/acquaintances for 5 years. They can joke around a bit. (Imogen is a bit of a ditz in eps 3 and 4, but she begins to improve in ep 5 and improves tremendously in Season 2.) (What I want to know is what did Imogen do to end up getting morning detenion?)

The reason for Nick's obliviousness to the rain/weather is that he was extremely distraught. As a result, he forgot to check the weather conditions before running over to Charlie's house. So no coat, no umbrella, no hood. Also, he forgets to take off his shoes in the house and walks into Charlie's room with wet dirty shoes on the rug. He also sits on Charlie's bed in his wet trousers. You can see more of his 'out of his mind' situation by the way he talks. He can barely pronounce the word 'kiss' at one point. And he repeats the same phrases over and over. Nick was out of his mind with fear and regret.

Charlie was traumatized by Ben's treatment of him (which culminated in a sexual assault in 1x01) One of Ben's patterns was to kiss Charlie, tell him not to tell anybody, and just leave. In this episode, right afer their wonderful kissing scene, Nick was called away by Harry (et al). Nick may have been protective of Charlie and him. Or he may have freaked out. Whatever the cause, he felt he had to leave to keep the others away. But he did not say anything to Charlie; he just took off. What that probably reminded Charlie of was Ben's behavior -- the guy who kisses and runs. That's most likely why Charlie was upset by Nick's leaving.

Yep, the Toymaker doesn't cheat. In their only other tv appearance before this one, at the end of a game that Dodo and Steven lost against two clowns, it is revealed that the latter cheated. The Toymaker forced the clowns to play again making sure they don't cheat. And I think they give that round to Dodo and Steven.
