Great questions! Might even be worth another video. I’m talking with bmw about reviewing what they have so hopefully I can give me insight soon. Early model 3s like mine don’t have great suspension. It’s a little fussy. If you rest your head against the head restraint it will often rub, making your worry about developing a bold patch. They significantly improved this in the face list model 3. Fit and finish is pretty good. 0 rattles. My bmw had developed 2 rattles that I managed to fix with foam. Now you can pay to use the Tesla network I would certainly consider both options. The self drive is a big factor to consider if you do long trips. Hope that helps.

@@jackwestheadphoto My i4 is far better for long journeys than my Golf GTD. Smoother, quieter and I can do 3-4 hours between charges if i wanted, not that I would. 20-80% takes <20 mins on a 150kw+ charger and I get around 210 miles out of that in the winter probably more in the summer. 210 miles is over 3 hours driving and i wouldn't do that between stops in any car, generally. I stop, plug it up, go for a brew and a toilet stop and when I get back its generally at 80 or more. I don't have to stand at the pumps whilst it fills, it does it itself whilst im doing what id be doing anyway. If your tesla can only do 1h45 on 80% battery, thats roughly 100-115 miles, theres something wrong with it.

@@greggpedder you make some good points. When I say better it’s a matter of perspective. I personally wouldn’t compare a 33k golf to a 50k i4. The bmw is a better car but it’s also much more expensive. Also I could drive to London without stopping in my 235i if I wanted and have way more fun driving it. But that said I do also like the comfort and quiet of electric. Like you say. But if everyone was electric right now charging would be impossible so that dose come into my thinking when I made that comment. I should clarify I get anywhere from h1:45 to h2:15 it just depends on the distance of the next charger. The car generally dose 180 miles on a run. It’s only a standard range with 50kw pack.

@@shakics8896 I went electric with the goal of saving money. Due to depreciation compared to the bmw I haven’t saved much. However it is the way things are going.. you will miss the m4 but the Tesla is still a good car. You have an awesome bike so just ride that a bit more 😉 I have so many bikes I need to try 😎 that one included

@@shakics8896 I drove both and even aside from the political thing the BMW is a wayy better car to drive .. If you like to drive and you want a driver's car, the BMW is much better. If you have an M4 I doubt cost is the biggest problem.

@@greggpedder Yes, I 100% agree on the driving aspect. But the refreshed model 3 is now also totally fine for my usecase. Im going to buy the new 992.2 GT3 this year for a fun weekend car. The Tesla is really just for everyday commute. The range is also much better and theres no maintenance. I also want to let my girlfriend drive it, so theres less risk in a Tesla lmao.

Great question 👌🏽 so many factors to consider. I would happily upgrade to the new shape model 3 performance. An early one the is registered before the luxury car tax comes in. However my preferred car would be the Porsche taycan. However charging and deprecation would probably stop me ever doing it. However for the Chanel I might get an m2 for the summer 🤔 Payed 20k for it 16months back. Worth around 16k now 😬 Only maintenance has been under £100 for front latch. And £190 for the upper control arms. All the work was done by Tesla

@@labalia30 thanks. I need to make more time in my schedule to start making videos again. Hard to be different these days. If you own a 200-500 already I wouldn’t bother. Reach is king for wildlife. Cameras are so good now having a slightly faster aperture won’t make much of a difference.

The 85 is a weapon!! It’s so good at what it dose. I do lean on the 50 more often just because I can use it more often. But I will add an 85 1.2 at some point. Yeah like you say 1.2 is great but not necessary for most people / occasions. Planning on doing an in-depth discussion on the 50mm. Might need to think about mentioning the 85 while I’m at it
