After a couple of local parks last week, I was able to meet up with my buddy Kurt (of The Dirty Jags Tour) in the Ottawa Suburbs for a couple more parks. Then it was off to a random ramp in the middle of nowhere that some friends had discovered and made me search for. It was not the worst ramp I’d found but hits the bottom of the barrel. George Jowett was an English-born Canadian Strongman. sco...

Over the last little bit I’ve getting tricks on the decorative features & available junk items at Chinguacousy Skatepark. Fun story about the knee pad. I had tried to thread the needle and slammed a few weeks earlier. I had rolled up to the drop and an older gentleman stopped to watch. ‘Dang, now I gotta perform’ I thought so I tried and stuck and slammed. ‘Tika?’ He asked. ‘Yeah I’m good’. I l...
Mini-Hoof

I started working on the models last November and worked on them over the winter. Not bad for Cardboard, glue and some bits of metal. Disclaimer: adhesive was used on the Driveway Skate Shop Fingerboard Deck because I've never fingerboarded before. The full model will be at the 2024 Later Skaters Halloween Bash if anyone wants to fingerboard The Mini-Hoof.

2013 was my Big Year. I skated all 365 days of that year & hit 150 different skateparks and had a lot of fun. My wife and I met up with my parents in Winnipeg. Here's some stories.
Luke Nelson Skatepark Tour

Luke Nelson Skatepark, Medina, NY. A fantastic park by Spohn Ranch Skateparks located in John E Butts Memorial Park (1127 S Main St). There’s everything here. Multiple rails, ledges, hubbas, qp’s and this cool orb I got a Natas spin on. Totally worth the trip. Only problem was the washrooms were locked.
The Railyard Skatepark Tour

Check out The Railyard Skatepark in Lockport, NY. 245 Trowbridge st. Built by Grindline, this park has a bunch of local references with the Locks and ‘Erie Canal’ gap. There’s a bio-swale garden in the centre of the park. One of my fave obstacles is the pole jam flat bar. It’s perfect for an old guy like me.
It’s Lockport, Lewiston & Medina!

What gets you hyped to skate? After watching @justinbehan History of Toronto Skate Spots episode, I made plans to hit some cross border skateparks. @medina_skate_society @railyardskatepark @buffaloskateboarding @spohnranch @theskateparkproject @grindlineskateparks

I've been on a few skate trips to Montreal. There's really been a re-birth with their skateparks, most notably the recent upgrade to MTL Plaza. Anyways, here's wonderwall-boards. Featuring - Le Taz, P45, Rollin Boutique, Peace Park, Homegrown Skates and more.

That’s the coolest basement I’ll ever see
Planning to check out any other parks in the Ottawa area? You might like the new one in Manotick. Also compact but some fun features and bonus pump track.
@@steveno7643 My friend (from Ottawa) & I hit Manotick and Findlay Creek before Greely. The edit of the week comes out tomorrow. I’ve hit a few other Ottawa parks; Legacy, Bowins, The Yard (rip) etc, but there’s always more to hit and it’s a long day trip from Toronto. I have all the ones I’ve been to on the blog - Spott Dreams of Skateparks.
That looks like a lot of fun. Nice & simple.
It was great. also - Pocket Sand!!!
@@spotttheloonie the most effective weapon of all!
Great edit, really enjoyed that thanks
Too good. Did you measure things?
@@soberskater No. it’s not to scale.
I'm thinking of doing this in Perth, WA but skating between the parks
@@SmithsFitness Go for it. Plan, plan, plan! How many parks are in your area? If you cut out cars, Guinness might recognize the record.
Enjoy this! I remember when it was plywood 😊. Great job Lockport
Another great episode...good stuff
@@soberskater Thanks Good Sir. Next one’s edited and should be up on Friday.
So lucky that a camera was set up right where you walked out of the lake!... seriously though I enjoyed this edit, nice work 👏 😊🙌
Love the stories, love the vibes
One of my faves
Haha awesome stuff. Antique led into Birling. Unreal.
Not a baaaad day indeed. That last clip 🔥🔥🔥
@@amskateboards Thanks. The slide n’ cracker felt great.
I like how they split the park in half. I feel this would allow for more people to be there at one time before it felt too busy. If it was together I think it would feel more crowded.
@@amskateboards It was great. When a bunch of kids started ‘using’ the park, I just went to the other side.
That thing looks like the best worst idea, or vice versa 😆👍
The Switch Stance PJ says ‘Best’. The next models have a grippy bottom.
One of my ex's had a purple pocket pole jam.... it was a lil different 🤏🤣
🥁tsss
That Boardslide Firecracker thing was awesome!
@@FirstPersonSkater Thank you. I saw the design for the park in early 2022 and had been wanting to try the ‘Slide n’ Cracker’ since then. 🙂
@@spotttheloonie must be a great feeling finally getting it! 🔥
How am I ever supposed to catch up with all these new parks!
Put an Airtag on me🙂
Finally got your session in Wellesley!! Nice boardslide on the stairs 🤘
Full commitment on that drive! Looks like a pretty fun and decent park, how was it?
@@TrueMotionVideo Lots of fun. You can tell the build crew knew what they were doing, even with the precast elements. The bowl is great. The lake is nice. Over all, it was worth the trip.
Hip jump on the A-frame was sweet. Very creative.
So glad we finally got a chance to skate together and check out a new park at the same time!
Love this park 🤙🤙
I love animals on skateboards.... 🐸
Dj shreddy shred
awesome
lets go!!!
Cool bro! Looks like some really cool memories behind the scenes
@@soberskater Thanks man. Some stories will be better/shorter/longer than others but I want to share the reason I have these. ✌🏻♥️🛹
Thanks for sharing
Nice clips.
Now that is a skatepark.
Rad
broo you are better than me you have potential
Progression, not perfection😜
1st trick.... goonie grind? One eyed willy?... one footed willy anyway damn that was rad
I go with one foot willy👍🏻. Learned them while trying crooks. Still don’t crooked grind🤷🏼♂️
@@spotttheloonie I'm gonna do a truffle shuffle on a 50-50 and call it the goonie grind... I ate it hard trying to crook today
looking good scott
your clips get me stoked dude!
🤟🤟
this is my local
It’s a great park. I wish my video was better🤣
Some sweet clips in here. Top work 🤘
tbh sandblasting and painting a roughed surface would give it some grip... The kingsville park near windsor did that and no one used it because everything was too slippery. wasnt even a mural just paint.
It’s going to be removed by the city.
“Did you get it?” 😂
& that’s why we run two cameras🤣
cool man
Yeah blue ramp park looks like a scrap metal pet project
That blue pyramid looks like a really bad ramp... sometimes the awful stuff is fun and unique to skate but sometimes it's just awful.... also tail stall hand shuv disaster, I'm trying that later 👍😎
It is. I’d bet that a local metal shop built the ramps cuz they’re not quite right. I hit it for just that reason. Last time here - ruclips.net/video/OYdP6O20sAg/видео.htmlsi=oLu7eZKXm8V7OJuR The finger shuv is fun👍🏻
nice video and good skating thumbs up
Thank you😅
Grinding off the end of the quarter.... hero move. I've wanted to try that for a long time super dope move bro
Looks like a quirky lil park... i like it
In Vaughn eh??
Yeah. You moving to Vaughan? Decent skatepark network.
@@spotttheloonie haha nooooo
boardslide cannonball is legit insane
Thanks. I’m pretty sure Thrasher listed Cannonballs as one of the worst tricks. That’s why I did it😜
shredding!
