Unless you don't have time to stop anywhere and just want to take a peak from a bus, local public transport is a superior alternative. It's more affordable, it's more available everywhere and you can have your own schedule and routes to explore.

Nicely filmed, as always. Helsinki has changed a lot since my Inter-railing days. I do seem to remember Rautatieasema, meaning railway station in Finnish (apologies to any Finns who read this and have to correct me !). On balance, Toi San is probably an easier language. Kippis !

Looks like a great place to visit these days. I was there in 1986 and remember the city hall and the Munch collection. Glad to see that the Norwegian aviation museum has a Spitfire. On the subject of things which fly, did you spot any Norwegian Blues (as sold in the Monty Python pet shop) ?

At least you got some good weather, finally. Southern Sweden in June seemed a bit cold. I like the food halls ! You must have eaten very well indeed. The underground bomb-proof aviation museum at the end was certainly a surprise. Let’s hope it doesn’t have to be used for real by NATO’s newest member.

Good grief - Chao do fu in Ottawa ? Whatever next…. Light show technically impressive, but with a touch of “citizenship propaganda” (though in the nicest Canadian way, of course).

Again, picture postcard perfect weather ! I had hoped for some aerial video footage from that biplane - there was a spare seat after all. But you couldn’t hold up the bus, I suppose. Looking forward to Pt.2 and changing of the Canadian guard perhaps ?

Another gourmet destination. Some of the “depanneurs” are pretty good, if you are looking for takeaway food. BTW never call a “crepe” a “pancake” in Quebec, even if speaking English ; I was told off for doing so.

A beautiful city, in heightened splendour whilst the weather is fine. I remember a particularly fine lunch there, followed by a slight “mal de tete”, maybe due to my French being stretched almost to breaking point. Bonnes Vacances !

You must both be feeling on top if the world, as it were. Even though the safety briefing was only in Spanish, it made no difference anyway. A bar crawl through Santiago was the most civilised way to end your quasi-pilgrimage. Great video, thanks !
