how have they been holding up?-thanks
@@shawnfallahi5616 Very good. I use them mainly at band practices. Only note is since they are thin i wouldn't go bashing on them very hard.
@CarlBDrummer good to know, thank you for the reply. I just acquired the 17 inch thin crash and 14 inch China and I really like them there's something about drums that I really love, although my main instrument is guitar
Good job! Do you have any case for this?
No case. I only use it in studio.
U sound like ur gonna do illegal things to that pedal
😂
Nope! Metal Chafes!!!
I just got some 5000s. I’m wanting a dw9000 now 🤣. Dw is my all time fav
Thats the same route I took. 5000 then to 9000. I still have all though. 5000 double and single, and 9000 double and single. and 2 5000 Hi Hat stands. 9000 hi hats are overkill I think.
I like Sundrop cosplay then I'm going to be here for Halloween
A local drummer let me tey his They arevawesome
@@Childishdrummer always wanted this pedal. Before everything got so expensive I was able to find a 9000 single used for $225, and this double for $350. I couldn't even buy a 9000 double for the price I paid for both these used.
I love my dw 9000 double pedals
I'd just duct tape together the two vertical/parallel bars where they meet the bottom of the seat. Voila. Ghetto, sure. Pragmatic and functional, yes.
Goood!
Very Bonham like, I like it
Check this out! ruclips.net/video/2vI7aBTWkcE/видео.htmlfeature=shared
It cracks me up on how people can hit the dislike button without a comment on why. Let me know so the product can be made better. Was it a crappy cymbal, bad video, hate my shirt, I mean come on. let a brotha know!!! 🤣
Is there any other way to attach it?
I'm sure but these are the extra parts I had. Didnt want to go out out a buy a chair with back.
Have you tried the hihats?
No I haven't. I've been watching 2 sets of 15" koi hats on eday but just don't want to drop the $350 on them. I may soon offer $250 and see if they take it. If so I'll do a follow up video on them. Keep an eye on my channel as I am going to do a small bop drum setup next. With all koi crashes, k custom dark ride, and maybe some koi or k dark hats. Thanks for checking out the video!
I have the 14" Koi Hihats... I like the sound of these. I also have the Koi 21" Ride, and Koi 17" Crash... These Cymbals definitely have a sound of their own.
Seriously?
Yes
How did you cut them out?
I first take a smaller cymbal the size I want to cut. Place it in the larger broken cymbal and trace it's size in sharpie. I them bolt the cymbal to cut to a round cutting board I use. To cut it I simply use a Dremel with the large cut off wheels. Just work your way around the sharpie line till the bell is cut out. After that sand the edges smooth by hand or with a bench sander. I hope this helps but I tell you what I'll do. I will make a video in the near future showing my tools and process. Thanks for the interest and keep an eye out for that video on my channel. I will make it a feature video and not a short though.
@@CarlBDrummer thanks I’ll definitely keep an eye out for that video. I don’t have any tools like that so if you also could make a video without using power tools or things like that, that would be great too.
@@oreothebest Man not sure how to do with no power tools. Maybe use a coping saw with a metal cutting blade. It will take a long while to cut though. I'll add that element to the vid though.
Sweet.
Thanks my friend.
I've been thinking about that since I was 12 and I'm by no means remarkably intelligent perspicacious....
I never understood it but I have thoughts of Rome 0-600ad specifically. Egypt too. Took me a long time to find out why.
I think about the Roman Empire every Friday Night.
Hmmm I think I get it but I won't ask to elaborate 😁.

Sounds great. Very nice.
Thanks very much.
Why 4 pedals?
On left side, tambourine mounted on pedal, hi hat, and kick left. On right main kick and hi hat right. On some songs and solos I play the kick and hat pedal bridged to give each bass drum note a hi hat chick too. Check out Thomas Lang. I steal a lot of chops for rhythms and solo parts from him.
I see, i thought you just had 3 kick pedals
@@Tjbilo Check out my video I'll be posting Sept 20th. I use the bridging technique a few times in the performance.

Is it an English breakfast radish? Because mine looks just like this!
Was a Seeds of Change organic cherry radish I let go to seed.
That’s some pro level equipment right there! Patent it and get to the NAMM show and sell a ton. Drummers will love this
"You serious Clark?" Not sure if your serious or messing with me but hey thanks for watching and commenting at least.
@@CarlBDrummer serious. I knew a guy who patented a bar you could attach several drums (ie snare) to the stool directly and then spin the stool to play other drums in a full circle around himself. Dunno if he made anything but it was a very slick setup
@@x51DonGoddard interesting. I'm pretty sure Gibraltar makes a universal seat back that will fit any throne. I just made this vid showing how I used spare parts to do the same. I'd have to perfect the design though. My setup is not to sturdy. It's fine for my 150 pound body but if a heavier player put all their weight on it, they may fall backward.
I was able to find the same pack at guitar center for around the same price too 👍
Since they are on like their 3rd bankruptcy I believe you will be finding A LOT of deals coming in the near future!
What cymbals you’re using man? That’s a beauty of a kit 🤩🤩🤩
In this setup I have 18" and 19" Wuhan koi crashes, 20" Sabian b8 1st gen ride (weathered and rehammered by me) , 10" Sabian AA splashes as hi hat (right side), and 14" Wuhan thin crash over 14" Sabian AA regular hi hat top with a 8" Sabian AAX splash below it for hi hat. Wuhan 10" splash with a 8" Stagg china kang on top, and a 16" Sabian AA china on top of a 16" Sabian B8 Pro ozone crash to the left. Drums are an old Pearl Kit that I am in the process of refinishing. 16 and 20" pearl octobans on the left. Snares vary. All Remo heads, PS3 On kick and coated emperor over clear ambassadors. DW Hi hat stands and kick pedals. LP 6 or 7" cowbell. The set is currently mic'ed with 1 AKG D112 on kick and 1 Shure SM57 overhead. Check out how they sound here: ruclips.net/video/EurgP8gpUjM/видео.html The complete kit is here: ruclips.net/user/shortsei41lsPi868 Thanks for checking out the channel.

That’s an amazing set up man! I love it!
Thank you! It's about 30 years of buying and selling gear. Also helped that I have worked at every music store in my market. Employee discounts baby!!! In fact the Peavy mixer in my other short I bought, on layaway, when I was 16!
If only Lars Ulrich was that creative ,Then his overuse of the china cymbal would be justified
I think his playing got stagnant the more he takes on in the band. IE if he just focused on his drumming instead of micromanaging a band, taking on Napster, worrying about geopolitical issues, etc. This is the case for a lot of artists though. That damaging little ego creeps in and blinds people of what is most important, the song.
Hey buddy... you jamming with anyone?
Been in a few bands over the years. Been a session player for years now. So always playing with different musicians. Been kinda slow now days due to lack of venues and musicians in my area. That has me focusing on this RUclips channel.
@CarlBDrummer right on... how can I get ahold of you? I may have some stuff I need drums on
@@mikebush3834if your on Facebook I can message you there.
Love it Carl!! Shout out to Rick for the heads up.
Thank you Very much. Please share.
Very expressive and colourful. And being built around a beat, it has coherence too as a solo. I also liked the ups and downs in dynamics. Very musical... 🤙🤙🤙!
Thank you. Please share. I like to mess around with ideas like these. I'm also a big fan of classical music. That gives me more ideas for dynamics.
Magnifico.🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵🥵
Thank you! Read the description and check out Sergio's video too!
I like the way you play drums by the way your Tom's sound awesome
Remo coated emperors over clear ambassadors. I tune the heads to the relative pitch of the shell to get the most resonance. In this video I'm also using Dollar Tree balloon template rings for muffling. I did a video a few back in my catalogue covering these. Thanks for watching!
I must also note, I changed all the hoops out from 1.6mm to 2.3mm and added a Ludwig rocker rims mount to the rack tom. In the near future I'm going to do a before and after of these changes.
You are very young. Are you doing this for practice or are you a fan??
I'm glad I look young. 😁. I'm actually in my 40s. Been playing for about 24 years on and off. I started back playing about 4 years ago now. That being said I covered this song as a message. If you listen to the words it will be really relevant to all of us very soon. The powers that be are turning the whole world back into the third world. I live well now, but when the global depression hits, hold onto your boots!
Thank you very much for supporting our Wuhan Cymbals and Gongs brand. ❤️🙏🏻
No guys thank you! I have been using Wuhan china cymbals for years. Ever since I saw Neil Peart rock them in the 70s and 80s. Ever since I first saw the band 311's drummer play them on their first video. The sound of these cymbals is unmatched and so unique I could spot them in ANY mix. I applause you Cardinal Percussion for keeping this brand going. Most importantly keeping them affordable. Lastly I wish you years of more good fortune.
Cool. Plenty of light. And a little bit of a look at the kit setup 👍
I appreciate the comment. In fact so much so I was compelled to comment back this morning. In a world that we live in now days its really a struggle to justify continuing this channel. Average views times are 30 seconds on almost all videos, next to no interaction, and worse and AI driven platform that has an agenda. Now all that being said quitting sounds like a good idea daily. That is until comments like this come in. The Lord seems to only send these when I really want to quit. So in summation I appreciate that little comment more than one can ever understand. Thanks you @thekodiakwild!
Thanks for making the video, brother. Yeah, the 12 lug piccolo that had the hoops I put on a 14x6.5 chrome shell were from a Sunlite drum, which I'd never heard of before a coupla months ago. Some parts are rusty beyond repair, and I'm thinking about taking them to be rechromed one day. That should be a little adventure.
Re-chroming process is very cool. When I was in auto body back in the day we used to do electro-gold plating. Was very impressive to see it work and how it worked. Thanks for the interaction.
That's a cool sounding china stack.
Sabina 16" AA over a 16" B8Pro ozone.

I will put it in the queue, stay tuned. I have another video im finishing first on my Ludwig Breakbeats project.
Sure, go into detail on your piccolo project. I'm not so much into piccolos anymore ( I like tuning deeper snares high and tight now ), but I like to cut down and mod shells too.

Thanks. I'm trying to get some videos up more often. Your comment helps me to remember why I do this. I often wrestle with the want to make these types of videos. I fear it borders on vanity at times and that is not my intention. Thanks Again Mr. Star
You're inspiring others. Don't think it has elements of vanity. I'm a drummer and drum teacher and your approach, the use of cymbals and splashes and the density of some of your hands-feet licks (and your musicality I might add), make me wanna play and try similar things. Or give similar projects to my students. We drummers are a community and that's wonderful. 🙂
