I was in Zageb 2 days ago and a waiting taxi said 20 euros for a 2 min drive lol, wouldve been like 3 euros in an Uber. So i asked the next taxi in line and he said 100 euros hahaha very rude old men, anyway i just laughed at him told him he was greedy and walked there myself in 10 mins......every Uber I have taken in Balkens has been very friendly and polite on the other hand. The vast majority of Balkens people are lovely 😊

this is not robbery this is legal if it is on the taximeter, don’t blame a people ... he will give you a bill and he has a proof, blame the state because they allow it. And in the end, that money goes to the their bosses, because, probably, they work for them ...

Split is such an awful place, I was scammed by taxi driver. Eastern European countries, I will never visit any again.

In Split Croatia I just paid 3 times as much in a taxi as I would for the same trip in an Uber. Terrible that they do this to tourists

1km - 2€ the summer price (+3€ start fee) - so just calculate how much it should be yourself so you don't get scammed. that's the lowest price and you can get all sort of drivers...good, bad, crazy, normal....try using the higher priced Uber option 'cos only ''5 star drivers'' have that option available

I hated my time in split. Disgusting scammers everywhere. Bars, clubs, shops all out to skim your cards and steal your money. I had my card info stolen and money taken after putting my card in a machine to pay for some drinks. They overcharged me by thousands and stole my card information. (This happened to a guy I randomly met a few days after also at a different venue) Had to cancel my cards and was stuck alone in split with just my accommodation and not enough money for food until my flight home. The boat ride people along the front offering trips are almost all scammers also. Many venues that operate illegally and claim to be shut down on Google maps are still open and scamming endless amounts of tourists each day. Truly disgusting place. It's ashame for the good hearted people of Croatia to get tainted with that brush as they are great and hate that this is going on. I met one Uber driver that. Offered to take me to police station for free. Came in and told the police everything and begged them to help me. When they wouldn't he gave me enough money for food for the remainder of my stay out of the kindness of his heart and drove me home. the police told me for the remainder of my stay certain bars/restaurants and clubs that were run by organised criminals which scam people constantly which they don't enter ( he didn't explain why) I'm assuming they're are corrupt and getting money also because the places are still open today
