Hi everyone, my name is Chloe and this is the channel I run for my horse, Dobi.
Dobi is a 21 year old Irish hunter type, who came over from Ireland as a 4 year old because they didn't think he would make height to be a hunter. He finally grew up at around 6, and spent the next few years with his old owner doing showjumping, beach and pleasure rides, and little bit of hunting before he was sold and I got him. He's so special to me, and I decided to document some of our adventures together on this page - mostly GoPro videos of our hunting outings with our local bloodhound pack.

HBH - Langham Hall 16.10.24
Wow, what even is this upload schedule?? Yep, we were out again as I am currently using my stored up annual leave to take a couple of weeks off work before we dive headlong into winter and and up with 20+ stables to muck out every day! This time we were at the truly gorgeous Langham Hall with kind permission of the Tollhurst family and several other very generous land owners. They also provided an excellent breakfast for us afterwards which is always appreciated after a 5am start. No hunting for us this Sunday as it's a long drive away, and Dobs deserves a weekend off after doing lots of meets recently. We have a final early morning next Wednesday which is 5 minutes down the road from our...

Two videos in one week?! We were out again this morning at the beautiful Darmsden Hall - the weather was perfect and we had another great morning out with friends. The new bit and bridle combination are definitely helping with brakes! There was a huge field of 45 out today, which is the sort of numbers we see for opening meet or ladies day! A lot of first timers out today so it was slightly...c...

Another Wednesday meet! I'm trying to get a good number of early mornings in before opening meet on the 27th of October and luckily I have a couple of weeks of annual leave coming up so we can go out again next week! Hasketon meets have a habit of claiming a faller every year and this year was no exception! I didn't catch it on camera but all involved were fine - that's the problem with me bein...

Hi all, another video sooner than expected as I was able to get out to a Wednesday meet - unusual for me as I'm usually working today. A single line today, but good and fast, which Dobi always appreciates! Sorry about the blob of mud on the lens, it's been SO wet here the last couple of days and we got splattered before we even started the line!

Hi guys, we're here again for another early morning meet (and I MEAN early morning - I was up at 4:30 we left the yard at 5:45!). Obviously we are still at the beginning of the season, so we only did 2 short lines, as this is the best way to get both hounds and horses fit. The hounds were fantastic - look out for the hare that jumps up in the first line and every single hound completely ignored...
WE'RE BACK! HBH - Framlingham Hall GoPro & Vlog 15.9.24

Hi everyone... we're back!! Autumn hunting has officially begun with our first meet at the lovely Framlingham Hall, thanks to the Rous and Watts families. I've had lots of messages asking about hunting with bloodhounds, especially with all of the hoo-hah about trail hunting currently in the news - because of that I decided to make this into a little vlog to show exactly what's involved. (If you...

So in the summer when the hunt season is over, Dobi and I compete in veteran showing - this year we competed at the Suffolk Show (a huge dream of mine) and we directly qualified for the VHS Supreme Final. This was our first ever big stay-away show, so I decided to vlog it. Don't worry, the hunt season is only a couple of weeks away so GoPro content will resume soon! Piano Rock Instrumental by H...

Our first Ladies Day and it was absolutely lovely. We started off with a delicious breakfast in the Gun Room and lots of drinks, did three fab lines on perfect ground in the most gorgeous weather and finished with the famous Hamilton Bloodhounds hunt tea - dozens of cakes, sandwiches and other goodies. Dobi was in a roaring mood today and tanked me round the entire meet, jumping several of the ...

Hey guys, here is this week's meet. It's our official Closing Meet, although we have Ladies Day next Wednesday and an extra "Bye Day" on the 1st of April. I chose not to take the jumping routes today as the ground is still questionable in a lot of places after so much bad weather and Dobi isn't young anymore. We still had a lot of fun and got some good fast runs in. Enjoy!

Hi all - another day, another load of rain that's been dumped on us... This was a very very wet meet; it started raining the night before and didn't stop all day. We were all soaked by the end. You'll notice that I made one attempt to jump and when Dobi said "no thanks" I didn't push the issue. The ground was very deep and slippery and I didn't think it was worth inviting an accident by insisti...

I didn't think we would be able to hunt this week - as well as having even MORE rain, I was out in the horsebox yesterday and the gearbox exploded! Luckily it happened just as I got to the destination so we were in a safe area and the pony I was carrying was safely recovered and taken home. My horsebox has been taken to my mechanic and I'm really hoping it'll be back up and running quickly! My ...

Hi everyone, you didn't have to wait so long between videos this time! After a blissful period of dry weather, the rain was back with a bang - we had something like 30mm of rainfall overnight on Saturday. I was convinced that Sunday's meet would have to be cancelled, but luckily the Paul family were very generous and still allowed us to come. The lines had to be changed as some parts were liter...

Well, it's been a while hasn't it! Today was our first time back out on the hunt field since opening meet in November, for several reasons: firstly, Dobi's behaviour on the second and third lines was slightly concerning (actually, terrifying!). Secondly, the weather has been absolutely horrendous and wet, meaning that when meets weren't having to be cancelled, the going was very deep which I di...

Hi everyone - after a very tricky couple of weeks where our opening meet was rescheduled twice because of insanely wet weather, we were finally able to get out again after some very kind landowners invited us back to Ramsholt. I really love hunting here, it's beautiful scenery and the ground is always pretty good - the fact that it's still so wet and soggy there when it's on sandy soil just sho...
Dobs is such an awesome horse!!! I am enjoying the recent spate of videos. Seriously, seriously wish I was there with my horse.
@@kippen64 he really is very cool!
So whats this about? Are you guys racing?
Nope they hunting season
No, we're hunting human runners - hunting foxes/live animals has been banned in the UK since 2004, so this is a way to keep traditions alive without breaking the law. And it means we don't get violent hunt saboteurs turning up and causing trouble!
Writing a comment for the algorithm. Really enjoyed this hunting video. I watch on my TV and it really feels like being there.
Thank you!

I'm having great fun too. As someone who doesn't get to go out hunting, your videos are keenly appreciated.
Good morning from Australia 🌏🦘🪃🐨. I always enjoy your videos. It feels like being there.
Were those hunt saboteurs yelling in the beginning? 🙄
@@andreawaterstreet3901 No, this is a clean boot hunt with bloodhounds so we don’t get sabs - that was the huntsman directing the whips!
It looked like You were so close to crossing the field master line the whole way i was on the edge of my seat waiting for the bloody good bollocking to come 😂 brilliant ride 👏
Aha luckily we're a very friendly pack and bollockings are very few and far between - usually only if someone walks over the line and interferes with the scent!
Thank you for sharing your day , YOU have a fab hores there . Take care and all the best .hope you all had a great day . 😊😊😊👍👍👍🐶🐶
What an awesome noise. Seriously wish I could have been there. So happy to watch your videos. They are keenly appreciated.
Hi Chloe This was brilliant . Seeing you has made all the difference & watching you at the start getting ready was fab. Anything to do with horsebox travel of any kind watching you load your van up ( I'm obsessed with anything transport related since getting my 3.5t😂!) You are sooo lucky with Yr hunt it sounds absolutely fab. Unfortunately the hunt we have local to me which I was very much interested in being a part of is very much " nudge nudge wink wink" So when I get the chance to see a real clean boot hunt I am super jealous! Keep it up loving this new style vlog!
3:03 Thank you for explaining this thing! More than a year ago I had unsubscribed from this channel because I would see the word 'hunt' and thought that at a certain point I was going to see actual hunting and I didn't want that. I wasn't sure if I could have asked here or on Twitter, also I didn't know how to phrase myself asking for clarifications. Plus English is my 2nd language lol. Subscribed again! 🙂
Stop beating your self up. All your hard work and time is not measured by that show !!! Soooo many horses including my own dont cope with that class first time. It’s a bigger atmoshepere than anyone realises. It’s crazy hot in there always even in winter its music and lots of poeple on the ground, not the usual one judge. But now you know what it’s like and how it all works you can go back next year and smash it !!!! I wasn’t placed this year and to be honest she went for perfect… my first year was hideous 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Honestly you deserved to be placed - at least Dubs managed to stand still in the line up as well as produce a lovely show!! We'll be back next year and I'll make more of an effort to actually chill out and enjoy it! 😁
Cute hindquarters 😊
keep your head up, Chloe. All the best!

Hi that looked like such amassing place, AND hope YOU ALL had a good time. TAKE care and all the best. 😄😄😄👍👍💟
Why are the horses plaited to headache, migraine and then expected to put up with tight births, saddles, bridles engineered to cause pain for your "brakes ", how is that a good ride for the poor horses?
Plaiting doesn’t cause a “headache”, it doesn’t hurt the horse in the slightest. My horse has custom fitted tack which is checked by professionals multiple times a year. He has a massage appointment every 5 weeks, chiro every 6 weeks and a daily massage pad and gun session. He absolutely adores hunting and pulls my arms out the entire way round, then wants to go again. He loves his job, he’s happy and has never been fitter or healthier since we started going regularly. We absolutely live for our horses. Dobi is my child. And he loves galloping across the countryside following hounds - you can see that his ears are pricked the entire time. Please don’t bring your ignorance and negativity here.
I love these videos, thank you so much for “taking us along” on your hunts!
What a glorious day!!! Thanks so much for sharing.
Thanks for sharing! Looks like a lovely time.
So nice to see an older horse thoroughly enjoying life.
Cruel bastards
These are bloodhounds, they've been tracking the scent of the people in the green shirts that say "runner" on the back. Nothing cruel about it, unless you think a shirt covered in slobber is cruel...
Why are you killing hares ??
No one is killing hares. This is a clean boot hunt, we chase a human scent. Bloodhounds are not trained on any animal scents. The hares popped up and were promptly ignored by the hounds. Hunting live animal quarry with hounds has been banned since 2004. I would suggest you go look up our pack's website (The Hamilton Bloodhounds) and read about what we do. Or alternatively you could go onto the Norfolk and Suffolk Hunt Sabs page and see that they recommend us specifically as we are a no-kill pack.
@@ChloePrice92 Thank you Chloe I was concerned when I saw the hounds in a group looking like they had got a kill. I do understand the concept of riding after a human Yes I
@@alisoncushing7587 Bloodhounds do not and have never been used to hunt game, they do not get a "kill".
That horse is most definitely worth more than a few hunt jumps. Good on you for trusting your horse there.
Really enjoyed this video. I am watching on my TV and sitting behind your horse's ears, has me wishing that I was there with my horse.
I really, really enjoyed this video. It was like being there. Good evening from Australia 🌏🦘
I wish I could teleport myself and my Connemara pony there to ride with you! Alas, we are stuck in Minnesota USA.
Is this Kirton lincolnshire
No Kirton in Suffolk :)
Really enjoyed this video. It's like sitting behind your horse's ears. I wish I was there with my horse. So good that the horrid weather didn't cause a cancellation. I could clearly see that the hounds were Bloodhounds.
We had 7 hare pop up on that field - hare will sit perfectly still until something spooks them and then they will run. Most of the hounds ignore them as bloodhounds are never trained on animal scents, we had a couple of pups out with us who sometimes get curious - that's why we have the whips who work with the huntsman to keep them on track if needed. Plus bloodhounds far too slow to get anywhere near a hare in escape mode!
@@ChloePrice92 I know what you mean.
Oh dear. I thought I was watching a clean boot drag/ trail hunt.
This is a clean boot hunt with bloodhounds - we hunt a human runner, no live quarry. You can literally see them as we get to the end of the lines. Not sure what you mean?
Oh dear. Did we watch the same video? The hounds are clearly Bloodhounds. I watched diligently and saw the hounds greet the runners. So it was definitely Bloodhounds pursuing runners that they greeted happily when they caught up. So definitely clean boot hunting. Out of curiosity, genuine curiosity, once you had observed that the hounds were Bloodhounds, why did you think they were doing anything other than a clean boot hunt? What other activity did you think you were watching? Please tell me.
@@ChloePrice92 ahh apologies. I genuinely thought they were chasing hares. Then when I saw a group of dogs rallied round something on the grounds I thought it was the kill.
Are you hunting foxes. I hope not.
No, these are bloodhounds. They track a human scent.
Are you fantasising about hunting humans? 🤭
So glad you were able to have a successful day out. If you do more videos this season, I will happily watch all of them.
Greyhounds are awesome. How awful about what happened to the Greyhound that you lost. They need slightly different vet treatment than normal dogs. I enjoyed the video.
Only have this and one more video to watch and then I'll be fully caught up. Am seriously looking forward to watching future videos.
Good morning from Australia. I hope that my horse is this keen when he's twenty one.
You have me thinking about checking out my local hunt clubs. My horse is definitely a hunter type and should enjoy the sport. Thanks so much for the inspiration.
Your channel is one of the best channels that I have ever found on RUclips.
Thank you - opening meet will be happening this Sunday so another video will be coming soon!
