This was a 16 month restoration of a 1948 Bombardier Snow Coach. Lots of work, fun and a few challenges along the way.

Finally completed this '65 Polaris frame up restoration. Lots of work involved but the final product is well worth the effort !!

Well done!! Those things are pretty ugle machines but love to see machines from back then. and you made it better then new. What I like about machines from that time is that it is still a machine that has people in it. and from the inside you can see that it is a machine. more raw machinery with some basic needs made out of steel and wood instead of plastic and computers. Love that!!!

I have a 67. Wondering if there’s a way to adjust the clutches for belt tension?
I am getting my 1970 12/3 out of storage this weekend and into the basement to start my restoration. I cannot wait. Watching your video has me chomping at the bit to get started. I hope my fuel tank is ok.

300 ford ?
I can’t get my 335 above 20 mph..rebuilt carb idles great but won’t top out...feels like motor is being held back somehow...any suggestions?
does the track and secondary clutch spin freely when the track is off the ground? Does the engine rev up? could be wrong belt clutch issues etc. Lots of possibilities....
skidoorich1 everything turns fine...engine doesn’t seem to want to rev up..somebody put a comet clutch on it ...I took it apart and greased shaft and secondary opens fine...feels like the motor is fighting itself to increase rpm...has good compression...thought I did good job on rebuilding carb...did not use tilliston repair kit...used an aftermarket from mfg supply
Yes possibly a carb issue.....I would rebuild carb using an OEM Tilly carb kit also replace the check valve and clean thoroughly under the welch plugs. Take a look at "Tillotson rebuild " on you tube. set low at 3/4 and high at 1 1/4 to start....
skidoorich1 I took a closer look at the primary clutch as you said...the bearing on the shaft is locked solid... not sure what it even does but it can’t be good that it’s shot...

Had a sprite years ago,and yes! yours is now much better than new.
for some reason mine has a bit too high rpm when starting (the clutch will engage the belt) and causing it to try driving away when I don't use the brake. my hand isn't even on the throttle when I pull start it
Is it idling high, or is the clutch engaging too early? Sounds like you just need to turn down the idle speed screw, it's by the throttle cable on the carb, can't miss it.
