This is great :D Does it have to be for an LED strip or can it also work to simply replay the DMX data to a dmx controlled light fitting?
I guess it should.
I disagree, the WS2812 LED strip uses a different type of data transfer (24 bits per pixel) and the DMX512 is another protocol and uses 2 conductors (a balanced line) for data transfer. I'm not a programmer, but I'm well acquainted with data transfer technologies, I would be happy to check if this device works as a standalone player for the DMX512.
