Hi, thanks for your video, it's hard to find informations about this amp. I am repairing the same model G1 that was in a very bad shape (a lot of corrosion on the board) but with a great sound for what I could hear so if someone has any schematic, pictures of inside the box or knows a similar model, please let me know, I'm interested.

Ich hatte mal eine Professional 110. Ein Jammer das Farfisa von Bontempi übernommen wurde. Bontempi ist gegen Farfisa Rappelkiste. Für mich ist Farfisa die Wersi aus Italien. Mit freundlichen musikalischen Grüßen aus dem Saarland.

Ich kenne diese Amps. Nicht nur der wirklich gute Klang auch das Design. Tweed. Geil
I found this amp at a pawn shop for $200. Talked them down to 160. Replaced speakers with 10” celestion cannabis Rex speakers and replaced tubes. Cleaned the knobs up and it sounds beautiful. Original reverb sounds better than any reverb pedal I can find. I leave gain as low as possible and never use the phaser. Better off with a boss ph-3
That's a great deal for a vintage Peavey tube amp. Congratulations. I hope I stumble across one of them.

Hi, that recording was made straight into a Tascam portable recorder. Usually I had a Mark Bass Little Mark 3 as my pass amp and would play the melodies straight into the mixer.

jump 2nd channel to Automix 3rd channel with a patch and use channel 1 as your input.
If you pull out the knob on intensity of flanger you can lock the tone where it’s at like a wah wah

@@Mischi666 Wir hatten in meiner alten Coverband auch noeh so einen Trashy Amp, den wir vom Sperrmüll gerettet haben. Ich müsste mal herausfinden, wer den jetzt hat.

Hey, interessantes Video! Ich habe eine PCL Vintage-Amp Box (leider ohne Topteil) geerbt und hatte mich gefragt, ob du evt. eine Empfehlung für ein geeignetes Topteil zu dieser Box hättest? Die original PCL Teile kann ich mir leider auch gebraucht nicht leisten. Die Box ist mit einem (ich schätze 12") 70W 8Ω Fane Acoustic "Heavy-Duty" Speaker bestückt. Um welches Baujahr es sich handelt weiß ich nicht genau, die Box hat Vorderseitig den "Vintage-Amp" Schriftzug groß aufs Gewebe aufgeflockt. Ich habe bisher überwiegend Konzert und Akustikgitarre und E nur über einen einsteiger Wohnzimmer Amp gespielt und kenne mich entsprechend wenig aus. Ich würde gerne hauptsächlich im "Clean" oder Blues Bereich spielen mit gelegentlichen Rock Ausnahmen. Kann man da was empfehlen zu der Box? Dank und Gruß
HI Simon, Ist es die Passivbox oder die Aktivbox? Die von dir beschriebene Bauart gab es in beiden Varianten. Schwer zu sagen was dazu passt. Was für ein Lautsprecher ist verbaut? Grüße
@@Mischi666 Hi, es ist die passive Variante. Der Lautsprecher ist ein 70W 8Ω Fane Acoustic Lautsprecher. Glaube 12". Die waren meines Wissens auch in Hiwatt Amps aus der Zeit verbaut. Dank und Gruß Simon
@@daurye92 Guter Lautsprecher. Fane verträgt sich mit den meisten "British" Amps. Probiers aus. Ich denk mir immer, wenn jeder Marshall und Gibson mit Celestion spielt, klingen alle gleich. Schau was für Dich funktioniert.
@@Mischi666 Danke für den Tip, werde mich bei den british amps mal umsehen. Gibt es eigentlich etwas bei der Watt Zahl zu beachten oder kommt es nur darauf an dass amp und Speaker die selbe Ohm Zahl haben? Ich hätte die Möglichkeit einen zum head umgebauten Fender Frontman 25R zu erwerben. Aber ich frage mich ob die 25 Transistor-Watt ausreichen um mit dem 70W Speaker einen schönen Clean Sound zu erreichen? .. besonders Laut oder Bühnentauglich etc muss es aber auch nicht sein. Was wäre eigentlich von 5W Microamps zum betreiben eines 70W Lautsprechers zu halten? Sorry für die noob-Fragen, ich bin eigentlich bei Akustikgitarren zu hause. Dank und Gruß
Ich habe das passende Topteil auf dem Speicher gefunden, leider ohne Röhren. Müsste wohl bei PCL revidiert und neu bestückt und abgeglichen werden. Für 300 Tacken ist es Deins.

Moin. Wie heiß wir dein Backpanel so im Schnitt und hast Du den Amp vor diesem Video beim Tech durchchecken lassen? Falls ja dann wäre es nice zu wissen was er gewechselt hat. Gutes Video und Sound.
Hi, Danke Dir! Als ich ihn bekommen habe, war er eigentlich ganz gut. Hab dann neue JJ Endstufenröhren reingemacht, alle Potis mit TUNER Spray (kein Kontaktspray) gereinigt, die Kontakte an den Klinkenbuchsen nachgelötet und die Speaker ordentlich festgezogen. Da waren ein paar Schrauben zu locker. Ansonsten konnte es direkt losgehen.

I want to give a solid piece of advice, if you want your Gibson, or Epiphone to make these amps really jump? Install a set of Seymore Duncan Pearly Gates, these are a copy of Billy Gibbons of ZZ Topp 57 Gold Top, but back then they wound each pick up by hand and Billy Gibbons has a mean set of Humbuckers. Go to the Seymore Duncan web site and check them out. They really do these old and new amps justice. Remember “Pearly Gates”.

Fell asleep in my chair dropping a 40 oz beer on the floor it erupted and flew into the top of that exact amp and went to the tube sockets making this hellish sound that I awoke to...well I retired this amp but just recently opened it and took the whole upper board, reverb and speakers out because of mold and rust issues with the cabinet, I threw the pos cabinet out tonight and a garbage picker took it within a few hours. I bought brand new Mesa Boogie tubs but their fried so I have to use the original Fender ones that are red plating..just to test to see if that was the only problem because the board and capacitors look great. so wish my luck and if so new custom cabinet and new tubes to come

I have two Peavey Classic VTs and one VTX - for what you can find these for, you can't get a better amp for the money!!!!
I own this amp for more than 30 years now. I just changed the tubes recently and had to fix the blades of the transformer as they made noise. I do not like the distortion but a good external pedal cures a lot. Some months ago I wanted to trade it for a Fender Twin bur the Peavey sounds more better and cleaner
The Peavey Classic VT Series is a great combo amp. I wish I still had mine.
It's sounding like Hammond.
If you add a leslie speaker it can come very close🎉
