Awesome work girl. I’m getting ready to install mine. You should change your valve before it leaks. There are some great videos here on RUclips. With the right tools, it took me about 15min to switch out. I love the feeling of “no leaks”.

Is this satin?

The legs usually come with a metal receiver that gets hammered into the wood and then you screw into the receiver. I don’t think that’s a safe mounting method. Beware of collapsing legs.

Interesting but now the weight of the dresser is being held up by 4 small leg point instead of the entire frame bearing the weigh. Wonder if this is going to pose a structural engineering issue in the future.

Nice job. Word of caution, I had the same faucet from Amazon and it ended up being a pain in the rear. Held water spots and the matte coating wore off after a year. Also, you might want to replace the accordion pvc pipe as they get can easily clogged and I believe they are not up to plumbing codes. The big box stores sell them as a temp fix for a diy, not really meant for permanent plumbing solutions. Overall, this is a really good thing to see, folks taking control of their home improvements!

How did you fix the slumping in the middle once you put stuff in the drawers?

the challenge with vessel sinks on butcher block (wood) counter tops is water related damage. Water and/or condensation will naturally roll down the outsides of the sink toward the base. Using caulking around the sink isn't enough to keep it in place with even minor bumps and over short periods of time the cracked caulking will allow moister to build under then around the edge of where the sink sits since the wood might be saturated at some point. So use plenty of caulking under the sink to lock it in place and then caulk around the base with the goal of keeping it secured.

Great video! One thing I noticed is your technique for the plumbers putty. I would watch a few yt videos on how to do it properly. You essentially create a "snake " and wrap it around the bottom of the drain and then once it's seated u cut off the excess that spills out. It seems you put it below the porcelain. It should be on top of porcelain but under the drain. Other than that you did a great job. If you ever have leaking problems I would check that first.

I want to add some castors to a 6 drawer MALM to bring it up closer to kitchen bench height for a breakfast nook. How sturdy does it feel nice tall legs? Do you think I’d need extra reinforcement for castors? I won’t be moving it often, just for occasional restyling. Although I’m reconsidering because the scandi style legs you put on are very cute!
