HELICOPTER TO MT EVEREST AT SUNRISE! WITH LANDING AT KALA PATTHAR AND EVEREST BASE CAMP FLYOVER
An unforgettable early morning helicopter journey from Lukla to Everest Base Camp, following the route taken by trekkers on their way to the world's highest peak; tracing the Dudh Kosi River through the High Himalayas, passing Namche Bazaar, Tengboche Monastery, and Ama Dablam (22,349 ft). Most thrilling: A landing at Kala Patthar (18,519 ft) above Everest Base Camp offers a once-in-a-lifetime moment- SUNRISE OVER MT EVEREST-- plus close-up views of several of the World's Highest Peaks: Nuptse (25,791 ft), Lhotse (27,940 ft) and Pumori (23,494 ft). Next-- a flyover of the Khumbu Icefall -- and then getting to see it all over in reverse on the way back to Lukla. Sadly, it was over in an ho...

LUKLA---WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS AIRPORT
Просмотров 44 тыс.Год назад
The Tenzing Hillary Airport in Lukla: the 'World's Most Dangerous Airport', Gateway to the Everest region and first stop on the Everest Base Camp Trek. From the spectacular flight from Kathmandu through the high Himalayas, to the harrowing landing on a tiny airstrip at 9300 ft, arrival in Lukla is a thrill on its own. And trekkers gather at airport overlooks, just to watch the planes attempt up...
I first want to do the trek to base camp and then do the helicopter view from above 🤩
The Tenzing Hillary Airport is NOT the most dangerous airport.
💕💕🥰🥰💗💗
It is simply insane to do this. If *anything* mechanical happens and you are stuck there, then you are dead. Going from Luklah ( <10, 000 ft) to Kala Patthar ( about 16,000 ft) in that short a period of time, is a ticking time bomb. But, I expect all the naysayers will speak up....but mark my words, this will not end well.
Muy bueno !
Great video. A TRUE legend landscape!
Nice video but next time disable autofocus on the camera so it doesn't irritatingly try to focus on the dirty windshield.
Que maravilha... Obrigada por um vídeo tão lindo!!! Saudações do Brasil.
The pilots undoubtedly require special certification to fly into and out of a place like this.
Grt8 Video, Love the snow capped Mountain.......Indeed it is so beautiful.......Hats off to the folks living in mountain despite so many challenges.......here in city we crib about Roads, Water, Sanitation, Transport, Health care, etc etc
people are idiots
The skills of the pilots are just amazing 👏
Wow! I had no idea there were so many “settlements” around Everest at that altitude!
I would say, the best moment of my life is watching this video, thanks for sharing the beautiful memories.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Страшно но красиво!
Shame on you , stop helicopters for tourists , places like this must be deserve by trekking . You destroy your valley , it's easy money but so bad for this beautiful area !
Hard to disagree
Without helicopters, there is no rescue, there are no supplies; there would be no humans being able to love this area, to hike this area, to experience this area. Best to show gratitude and respect to helicopters and to sherpas when in Nepal.
Can you give more details of this tour? The company that operates it, the duration, safety and costs?
SpaceX.
nice
Excellent video greatful to you very close watch
Glad you enjoyed it
What is the company you used
We booked it through Himalayan Wonders, who had organized our whole trek. They were great.
@@fridjohnj698 Would you please tell me the cost for the helicopter flight? I would be very grateful to hear a true number. I, too, have dreams, have a bucket list, and unfortunately, have a budget.
Cool and very spectacular!
Thanks! It was definitely one of my lifetime highlights.
Super, the best route I've seen with the choppers,,
Thank you very much!
Cost pl.
Oh,my god! Fly fantástic.Dream. Congratulations Brazil
Você também é fã das montanhas??? 😁
Great Video. I trekked to Everest Base Camp in 2012 and climbed Kala Patthar in the dark to watch the sunrise over Everest. It took us 13 days but it was worth it.
Was this from Lukla?
Yes it was. It's actually only a 15 minute flight to Everest Base Camp from Lukla.
Cost pl.
Lukla da silva.
Aircraft to Everest. That's the way I would do it too. And pop out my cell phone as soon as we land.
You are part of the problem, not part of the solution. Everest is about mountains, snow and desolation, not aircraft and cell phones. Why not savour the special things about it, not the everyday detritus that you have brought with you.
Thanks for make my day ❤
Thank you! I rewatch it all the time in order to relive the experience.
Thanks for your fabulous video. In 2005 I took a fixed wing flight from Kathmandu and was able to see Everest, but my flight was at a much greater altitude and distance. I’d love to return someday and take this exhilarating flight.
So glad you liked it. It was definitely a life highlight. And we were blessed with a perfect day for the flight.
That guy had cellphone coverage there where they landed???
@@barryellis5901 Ahh yes, always forget about those
Definitely one of my bucket list
Stupid if it was the world's most dangerous airport, then why do thousands of foreign trekkers fly every season of the year. It is not dangerous and why make it dramatic. For me it is one of the most unique airports but not dangerous, what do you expect around a mountainous country like the Himalayas. I have flown more than 100 times in and out of Lukla during my trekking career over the past 4 decades.
How much did it cost you for this heli trip?
Approx. $1650 usd.
O ser humano arrisca a vida sem necessidade. É a única espécie animal a " gostar " disso em nome não do progresso , mas pela aventura do risco.
Very good.❤
Shop village name..mount name at list one minute.. Pls
So if someone lives an honest, noble life then dies, and eventually gets to go to heaven, I think a version of it would be to get to fly a helicopter around Mt Everest every day and get paid doing it.
But its dangerous as well. Helicopters are not very reliable.
I was a professional pilot for many years and assure you that the mystical majestic feeling wears off around day 3. Then you're just a bus driver with a memorized path, a bus that just happens to fly in conditions and terrain where an emergency landing would likely end in death. Certainly not my vision of an extraordinary afterlife... Good day.
And to think, each of those tiny tents is around $100K paid to the government, just for owning a chunk of that mountain. I think Bill Gates should stop wasting money in farm land and buy that entire mountain.
Ride of a life time
Ho God 🙏
Great video. Good perspectives. I was there in December in early winter. My Lukla video here ruclips.net/video/HXtGlNQsyaA/видео.html
Depois daquele trágico acidente com um avião e um helicóptero resolveram construir um heliporto mais decente.

Good video…I relived my entire EBC trek 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Definitely best moment of the life
