Thanks for uploading these gems!!!
Still could have used a drummer
He did what it takes!
Does anybody have her singing Take me to the mountain top if you do please upload it buy Latimore rest in peace
Sorry, I don’t have that one.
Wow!
Thank you for posting this. I was looking randomly through some stuff on Wikipedia, and saw articles on multiple Luther Johnsons, one of whom was nicknamed Guitar Junior. But I could see that wasn't the Guitar Junior my dad had an album by. But I saw there was another Guitar Jr., and this is the one. I was a kid when the Broke an' Hungry album came out, but I remembered the cover, and the track "The Guitar and the Horse." ❤
So glad you found this song! Yes, the Guitar Junior moniker and the different Luther Johnson’s could definitely confuse anyone!
エディ・テイラーのウォーキング・ベースがすごい!!
エディ・テイラーはいつもその曲のために演奏していました、そのような過小評価されたミュージシャン
A few seconds of silent footage of an old black guy playing guitar who may or may not be Henry Thomas. This film poses more questions than it answers.
Yes, indeed. But the opinion of some of the experts in the description box seems to indicate he might be “the” Henry Thomas.
It's on my bucket list to come visit Mr Hurt and thank him in person, nice job guys
Thanks! It was our pleasure. Hope you could go there! Unfortunately his house/Museum was set on fire eaelier this year.
The best only the best
Thanks!

😀
Phew! I need to lie down in a dark room after that. Not only was she a formidable singer but also a prodigious civil rights campaigner.
Indeed! An amazing figure all around!
Just perfect
Thanks! 😀
Awesome blues!💙😎🎶👌

¡Abrazo grande!
Far too few views, far too few likes - thanks for posting 👍
Thank you! Traditional blues doesn't get much views, unfortunately!
Stevie Ray Vaughn and Gary Moore played the blues better than most black musicians.
lots of volume and notes, but, sadly, no Soul.
White boys blues as defined in Dictionary. Too much shredding, no heart.
Not my cup of tea, but I do own some of their albums and really appreciate the wide exposure they gave to the blues during the 80s and early 90s.
I love this song! Been looking for it for years.
Glad you find it! It's a great version!
GREAT stuff - period.
Thanks, Hilmar!
Pretty sure he's playing fotdella here too, I hear another thump in there.
Most likely!!!
Banana Republic ran out of khakis? The espresso machine is jammed? Hootie and the Blowfish are breaking up?! 😆😆

Mind blowing
Earl Hooker was a monster on the guitar!
Eddie, cool you found the video.
Hello, I just found this video! That is me playing the drums, Eddie Clark, and that is Rick Reed on bass and Larry David on keys! We did a lot of Bay area shows back then, several time at the Boom Boom Room, Yoshi's, a sterrt festival, wow, I forgot how hard we played behind Roy. Once Roy and I drove to SF in my little Rav4, while he left his Rolls Royce parkrd in front of my home in Ventura, ha! What a treat you preserved, I'm 68 now, and still playing those drums!
Hi Eddie! Greetings from Buenos Aires, Argentina! Wow! This is a hell of a performance, love Roy and the band sounds so tight! I'll add the band line-up to the description of this video and will pin your comment. Sure enough Roy sounds like a real character and I bet he had many stories. Glad to know you're still playing and hopefully I'll see you around some time. Are you in the SF area? Thanks!
@@BluesUrbano22 Hello, thank you for your reply. Yes, Roy was interesting, he spoke fluent French and spoke in French over the mic on the shows. We would spend hours at Roy's little home in Inglewood rehearsing for a show, only to have it all tossed out, as you can see from our performance here. We did nothing that we rehearsed before this show. I wasn't sure what Roy was going to do next, so I went into 'simple' mode as I often did on past shows. One the last rehearsal I attended, I told him I wasn't interested in playing for him anymore. That was that. I did install his new dryer and washer for him, and he was very grateful for that, so we were still friends. There is a new book about the late William Clarke called Blowin' Like Hell The William Clarke Story, and I'm in it. I used to also drum for the late William Clarke, you can see some vid's on my tube. As far as location, SW Oklahoma is home, where I am from. No more Pacific Northwest where I was before LA and returned to.keep in touch! EC
Hey, Eddie, I hope you're doing well. I only played with Roy a couple of times and it was thanks to you.

Magnifico guitarrista, todos sus albumes son joyas del Blues y r'n' blues
Sin dudas! Lamentablemente se fue muy joven y solo podemos imaginar todo lo que hubiera logrado.
Bending them strings like elbows!
And when he started playing there wasn’t as many choices of strings gauges as we have today! Happy New Year!
