So I'm watching your video called "Keeping it Light: Compact Saffiano" and I'm looking at those Filofax inserts in there and since I will be using Franklin Covey compact inserts which are a little wider I'm thinking the Personal size Filofax is probably the better one for me. I don't know if you still check in on your comments, but if you do I am wondering if you have you tried the compact Franklin inserts in the compact Saffiano. Great vids. Thank you!

I like using colorful paperclips too! 2:29 - Filofax inserts are nothing to get excited about imo so I wouldn't feel bad about not using them. I love the Franklin Covey inserts! So pretty! I wish they would offer more designs and have all designs in all formats. I like a weekly layout on one side and just a page for notes on the other side. They only offer this layout in two or three designs. Also, some of their designs are just plain weird but I guess they must be selling because they keep making those designs. 6:53 Oh yes! Franklin's binders are WAY too big and bulky. Some of them are beautiful and I really wish I could use them and I've tried several times but I just can't stand them (sold them on eBay!) because of the bulk and size!! Yes, as you've said in your video, they are chunky. Not what I want in a compact size binder!! Enjoying your videos!!

Wow this is great to see the comparison. Thank you. This video is old and you haven't been around here uploading but I want you to know I found this video very helpful. I just ordered the Personal size (my first Filoax!) but now I am wondering if I should have ordered the compact. I will wait to see how the Personal size feels in my hands and if it feels too bulky I might get the compact one then. I've been using bound planners for most of my life. I used whatever was at the office store. Several times I've tried Franklin Covey Planner because they used to have stores in the mall. Then in 2016 I realized there's a whole world of planners on the internet. And I tried many of them. Oh so many. But things have not been working out. So I want to go back to Franklin Covey inserts which I love but imo their binders are WAY too large and bulky and this is why I could never stick with them. A couple years ago I found some old Dayrunner and Daytimer small 6-ring binders on eBay that fit the Franklin compact pages nicely but they are old used binders and not very pretty. I really wanted to get away from bound planners for 2020. I've been in the planner and sticker rabbit hole for about three years now. I wasted a lot of time and money trying tons of planners and I guess it was an experience and I've learned some things about what I don't like and what I do like and hopefully I won't get drawn back in to stuff that doesn't work for me. So after a lot of research I have finally learned that compact Franklin Covey planner pages fit in the Filofax personal binders. I am guessing they would fit in the Filofax compact too by the looks of what I see in this video. When comparing all the measurements of the binders of Filofax Personal, Filofax Compact and Franklin Covey Compact, the Filofax is a lot smaller. That is exactly what I want, smaller and less bulky but still fitting the Franklin Covey compact inserts very nicely. Can't wait to get my first Filofax!! Such pretty colors!! I got the aquamarine one. I am going to put the Franklin Covey Planner Love Splendor inserts in it. I think it will be a good match but it's always kind of hard to tell colors on the computer. If it doesn't look great, I'll just get a black Filofax for it then. Oooooo can't wait for 2020 to start using all of this!!

I love your setup! Kudos on reusing! I had the same problem where I really needed to see the whole week, 24 hours a day, I know that diyfish was big on folding out sideways but never thought about adding anything folding up! I'll start doing that as well!

I think both week on 2pp and day on 2pp Work fine, depends of how much you want to take notes in the same format. I use both the daily that I fill every day before with my priority tasks and the weekly to project the main things for the next week. In that way I can work the inmidiate things and also have the chance to project my future work. Thanks for sharing your great videos!!

That's so funny, I was just looking at those in silver the other day. I thought the baby changing mat, being waterproof, would be good for sitting on to journal or draw outdoors!

This is a really helpful video, especially the part about your health tracking system. It gave me ideas on how to track hubby's skin issues. I've completely revamped his skin regimen and needed a way to record changes. I think I'll use the codes C+/C-. :) Thanks for sharing, Sandra!

The pen loop for my luxe compact is the same, but you can 'train' then to sit outside in the loop. Just pull gently on the pen to sit outside instead of inside. After about 2 weeks it stayed out and now works perfectly.

I have a great suggestion on pen loop! I have a whole video how to make it in my channel. It's easy and fast to make, and it's adjustable for any pen!
