Our Emergency Assistance program helps numerous families and individuals every year in their time of crisis. We help those in need with rent, gas/food/groceries vouchers, temporary accommodation for the homeless, bus passes for job seekers and the homeless, and payments for car repair, utilities, and medical expenses. Many recipients are single mothers and the homeless.

In April 2020, we teamed up with various partners within the community to serve 1,000 seniors living in Minneapolis Public Housing. This was the first stage of a multi -phase project that is still continuing as we respond to the pandemic, and more seniors are being served weekly with food essentials.

1,000 Served: Building Blocks COVID-19 Senior Project Completion

Our three main projects: Food Drive, Youth Training & Dawah Training.

Building Blocks has been conducting dawah training efforts for MSA's and street dawah for the past year. Our goal is to help Brothers and sisters gain proper understanding of how to convey the message of Islam properly at their colleges and on the streets with our MSA training and MN state fair dawah training.

Building Blocks has been part of the community for years providing food for families who need help getting by tough times. These are men, women, children and elders just like you who just need a little help to get by tough times.
