The Cheaper Alternative To Leaving The West Behind

Superb bit of beach, and a very pretty ride. Surprised Montevideo doesn't do a better job maintaining the beach area, or maybe they focus on the sections around the hotels? Not a fan of spiders and their webs either. Had a few experiences when hiking and camping, walking along and walk right through a web strung across a trail. Never fun! Thanks for sharing the experience with us!

Glad you like it! Yes, it's disappointing. I wonder if they'll clean it come summer. I know if you go East, they do a better job, but Montevideo isn't that clean unfortunately. This section of the beach stretches for 50 miles though, so hopefully it's cleaner. I want to ride it all the way, might find out soon!

Was that a Mosque off in the distance at the beginning of the video? The beach is beautiful, and a nice choice for a ride. Although I wonder if a 'fat' bike tire might be a better choice for that environment, also for long range driving as well. Just like your bike, sometimes ideas for content and channel go flat and you have to fix the situation. (By the way, had the same type of air pump in my riding days. Loved the way it could be locked to the valve head!)👍 Have really enjoyed this channel and the content as well as your other channels. Do what you have to do to keep it fresh and entertaining for you, so if figuring out or launching a new channel is the way, go for it! Just send a link. Just a suggestion and I think I have made it before, although I think RUclips and it's algorithms don't reward such concepts. Would a super channel work? Combine this and your other channels under one main channel banner and then upload videos to each as you feel like making them? Whatever you decide to do, safe journeys sir and hope you will keep us in the loop. (Also was the word you searching for bikepath?)🤣

That building is an oceanographic museum, but now that you mention it, it does indeed look like a mosque 😆 A fat bike would be great for the beach, having wide tires would help cover lots of terrain easily. I need to look into that perhaps. I made a lot of mistakes as a rookie when I started this channel a few years ago. One was not to niche down to one topic, so the algo would target a specific audience. I've been trying to correct this by staying in one niche, but it might be too late. I'll keep it going for a while longer and see what happens. But If i start a new one I'll send you a link.

If you want to start a channel, or have a channel already but can't afford the latest tech, there are alternatives! Let me show you the videos I've shot with this little Sony for which I paid only $50 Update: Also, I wanted to share a couple extra videos of this camera by another youtuber. One of them using an hypergonar anamorphic lens. Credits: hhltest1 (note, these vids are 12 plus years old about the time when the camera came out) Anamorphic test: ruclips.net/video/sjTPrexmjxA/видео.htmlfeature=shared Standard lens: ruclips.net/video/7dzOWCzzB64/видео.htmlfeature=shared "Extreme color correction" ruclips.net/video/Tq5PmHf5KZg/видео.html I personally will keep it for years to come. I used to have a bmpcc original and I love both cameras. I can upres the footage with Topaz AI to 2k-4k, add motion blur in AE, and this camera will look even better. It won't get me more dynamic range, but who cares. I know to avoid high contrast scenes. I love the old-school footage coming out of its sensor.

That whole area it's called Ciudad de la Costa and it's made of little beach towns (like Solymar) that got connected with Montevideo, it's basically a suburban neighborhood of Montevideo with roughly 100.000 people. Good video, looking for more!

Bike is looking good sir, I like that handlebar setup. As always don't trust the navigation on your phone, still think it is out to kill you.😂 I know these videos are mainly about your road trips but I hope you are planning a video to show us the tent, or maybe wait until you have all the gear for your camping trip. Also who was singing, or what was the musical group, nice song I enjoyed it.

Glad you like it! I plan to show the tent in another episode. Trying to get everything I'd need for my first trip. The lady singing is Tessa Murray from Still Corners. Song is "The Dream" :)

@@Just_a_normal_guy11 When I began posting more that's when I started getting the hand of shotcut, still not a pro, but the heavy learning curve is behind me. It's a good excuse to upload more 😁 Nice channel btw!

Gran palacio, es impresionante ❤ Uruguay tiene lugares espectaculares en el interior que serian dignos de ser mostrados al mundo. Empezando por esas playas en Montevideo que ya hemos podido ver y todo el encanto . Buen video❤

Wonderful mix of buildings with a real European vibe to them. Small wonder so many film companies go to Uruguay and Montevideo to do movies and tv shows. Wonder backdrop if they want to film something that is suppose to set in Spain or Europe with the cost of going there. Plus as I understand the film industry and technicians in Uruguay are top rate, so bonus for the film companies! Same way they come to Canada when they want to film shows that are suppose to be set in the U.S.

Hey sorry man, for some reason I just saw your message posted! RUclips is getting so annoyingly unreliable with the comments section! Yeah I think UY or Argentina or most of S.America would be a great place to film a blockbuster or something at a fraction of the cost of what they'd get charged in Europe. I could see a Ronin car chasing scene here without all the silly regs you'd have to go through in places like France etc. Good to hear Canada is also more flexible, it's a win win for everybody.

Another great bike ride, and a very impressive building and grounds at the legislative palace. Have to ask again what are the settings on your phone for providing routes to these places? ' Phone find me the most dangerous and unbike friendly route filled with pedestrians and vehicles who think I am invisible please!' If that is the setting sir, I would say it is doing a great job for you, otherwise I think your phone has become sentient and is trying to kill you!😂👍

lol the gps lady and I have been on non speaking terms lately. I think she does want me gone for sure. I thought about getting waze, and put Chuck Norri's or Terminator's voice in it. Now, that would be hilarious! Chuck Norris trying to pronounce spanish streets lol

It can be amazing to find older sections of town or city. Feels like stepping back in time in some neighbourhoods. Till some clown with a cell phone walks right in front of your bike because he is not watching where he is going!😂

Beautiful part of town, some of those buildings were incredible. That center bike lane sure seemed to make it safer for a night ride on those streets rather then the curb or sidewalk riding you had to do in other parts of town. Yeah some of those areas need a revisit in the daytime!

I love that bike lane, sometimes I just want to back downtown just to ride it. It's like the autobahn for bicycles 😆

2:20 You wasn't in the need of sharing the 18 de Julio road with cars and buses when you were at Pza Independencia. Although the Bike Lane is absent over that first part of the avenue it doesn't lose continuity, it's available down the lateral outbound street San José heading east, which at reaching a certain crossing street will guide you to turn left for just 1 block , (The Bike Lane turns left by itself) and then you will turn right at the 18 de Julio Av. where its own Bike Lane starts from west to east. I don´t live in Montevideo, though I saw this in many other videos.
