Thank you
Great video helped fix my issue. Found the hose from engine to solenoid had slipped off. Thanks.
Awesome. I’m glad you figured out the problem!
Damn. Mine had this issue and sure enough it was the gas cap. The gas cap has a 1 click close. Well I didn’t close it and had the 1 click. Who would have thought. Thanks
My pleasure. It is always nice when the fix is easy!
Did you test yours after the new cap? Mine pulls a p0441 and I changed the purge valve but still has error. I did a smoke test and regardless of gas cap there’s a ton of smoke coming out of the gas cap area. Mine appeared to come out of the charcoal canister vent tub leading back to the gas cap Did you smoke test after your gas cap? I’m trying to figure out of the evap system is open and venting when the car is off or if it should be full sealed. I did see another video where they manually closed the charcoal canister valve to create a closed system.
Mine is doing exactly the same thing. Did you figure yours out?
@@jonathanjones5315I’m having the same issue as well, took apart that whole assembly behind the gas cap for nothing.. still trying to find the issue.
@@blockahwood So, I did smoke test and smoke was coming out from around gas cap, not from the gas cap, around it. You need a obd2 that you can command switches. I was able to command the vent valve which is normally open on the charcoal canister closed, after this I was still getting smoke around gas cap. Charcoal canister vent just vents out around gas cap. So I replaced the entire charcoal canister and vent valve assembly which is directly above the muffler. I had to take the muffler off and heat shield to get to it. That was about two weeks ago and so far so good. Mine is a 2017 Highlander.
@@jonathanjones5315thanks, I appreciate the info! I believe this is exactly what’s happening to my 2018. I’m going to look into the canister and vent valve over the weekend.
Your video was most helpful about how to release the emergency brake. It was the only one I could find that demonstrated the procedure with the optional L61 steering wheel. An option on my 2020 C43. Thank you.
So….. did you “fix” the problem by replacing the gas cap?
Yes. New gas cap installed and haven’t had any issues since
👍
Great instructions… Only adjustments I had to make per your instructions was I had to twist in my caliper piston inward first then used a c clamp to compress it fully in. Everything else was very in point and helpful. Thanks for your video
Do both sides have brake pad sensor, or only one side?
awesome work and thanks for sharing! when you were compressing piston, did you slide the flat screwdriver between rotor and brake pad or between piston and a brake pad? hard to see that moment
First make sure you set vehicle into brake pad replacement mode. 44 second mark shows this. I placed the screw driver between caliper and brake pad.
Thanks. Caliper need 7mm Hex bit or 45 Torx bit fit ..
Hi. I would like to replace brake pad for mine. Can you give me a new pad name or link? It would help me. Thanks
Carquest from Advanced Auto Parts
Thanks. I have replaced front and rear already.
@@tubekim3419how did it go for you?
@@calebgrimes4866 it was good and not difficult. I feel satisfied myself. Your videos helped me a lot.
Thanks for the video Caleb - I used your instructions on my 2020 GLC yesterday, very easy pad change. My dealer wanted just under $600 for the work, took me under an hour!
Glad it helped!
