I don't really get why Madga removed the Ashling? If it was absolutely necessary for some unapparent reason, Portal to Phyrexia would have been the piece to tutor instead of Spine. Would have simaltaneously solved all the problems on the board.

Killing the ashling was troll you have two blue players at the table and the biggest threat in kinnan, hullbreaker. What a weird play from Magda this game felt like everyone was new to Cedh lol. Still a good showing on kinnan though!

Should have waited on the Magda tutor to see if Ashling would go off and if not, hit the hullbreaker instead. Not hitting the hullbreaker left Kinnan with an effective on board win and that not hitting that feels absolutely silly to me.

If only magda was on portal to phyrexia.

i think sisay could have let rhystic get bounced and then counter the mox amber, that potentially stops the loop if all kinnan can do with chrome mox grim monolith is make infinite colorless

Was going to say the same thing Aliismat said about the Spine hitting Ashling instead of Hullbreaker, but as someone who has seen Ashling go nuts from one untap I kind of get it. Tough spot to be in.

Rewatching that game gave me PTSD. Ryder's God-Pharaoh Statue absolutely hosed any chance I had of winning despite having keeping a T3 win attempt in hand. 7 mana Lively Dirge just doesn't seem as good.

Not going to lie, years of watching cedh games on RUclips. That was a top 5 game for sure. All players were super responsible, refreshing to see. Threat assessment was spot on!

( Other blue creatures you control have “Whenever this creature becomes tapped, draw a card, then discard a card.” )

so after thinking about it all week and watching it again I can confirm we messed up and Dbo did not have the mana needed to do his loop. But considering how late it was and the mental pain we went through on game 1 its understandable we missed it live. If you count cards in zones after Dbo first cracks lions eye it should be Graveyard 11 & Hand 0 Breakdown of what "loop" should have been: Start - GY 11 ... hand 0 (cards in graveyard: arid mesa, swan song, wheel of fortune, lotus petal, vampiric tutor, ranger captain, lions eye, offer, chain, rhystic, fellwar) cast ranger captain - GY: 7 ... Hand 0 crack ranger captain- GY: 8 ... Hand 0 Cast Lions eye - GY: 4 ... Hand 0 Crack lions eye - GY: 5 ... hand 0 Cast wheel of Fortune - GY: 2 ... hand 7 (2 cards in graveyard would be wheel and lions eye theoretically) still had a blast playing with you guys and once i learn my next deck well enough ill look at coming back on for some games.

at 6:10 and 8:50 nadu player could have targeted nadu/any other creature one more time because the alchemist untaps in his untap anyway. so its 9 triggers per turncycle instead of just 8.

Important thing to know here, baylen might not have been dead. Finale of devastation does not give trample, And the haste doesn't matter unless all of the token creatures are entering the battlefield untapped in which case bailing can produce as many blockers as the number of tokens are being created here.

Nadu really does need a ban. It gets too much incidental value to be in the Command Zone for 3 mana, and if too difficult to keep off the board since it ramps itself up. It’s rare for a deck in cEDH to be powerful enough to warrant archenemy for turn 0, but Nadu truly does force every player to murder him 4 times before even attempting to play the game.

I play Nadu and still hate it hahaha.... I don´t think nadu will be banned, but i feel bad for the people suffering
