Using the toes, not the heel helped is my way to go.

Heelflip > Kickflip

you absolutely don't have to have your toes hanging off the board. you can set up with All your toes completely on the board if you wanted. as long as your back foot is in the pocket and your slide your shit up from the middle of the board,you can have super Popped,boned or any kind of heelflip you want, looks mad ugly when they're hanging off imo

I think leaning back/keeping your weight further back more than normal is the main thing that made a difference for me personally (might be different for others). If I try it with my weight like I’m doing a kickflip, it’ll just land behind me or get messed up some other way. However if I lean back further than normal (it kind of feels weird), it will flip right under my feet. I think that’s the hardest part about them for someone who learned how to kickflip first. You get so used to the weight distribution on a kickflip and heelflips just feel weird.

Maybe it’s just me, but I always found heelflips infinity easier to do than kickflips.🤷🏼‍♂️

I aint got no problem with kickflips, but somehow I cant land a heelflip. I dont know why my board pop too high and get caught in my legs

Here are some pointers for anyone who needs them first of all make sure that you’re flipping the board with a ball of your foot don’t have your whole foot pressurized onto the board second thing when you’re popping try to pull the pop back a little bit on your right or left side depending on normal or goofy stance so it levels off near under your feet
