great episode. I really hope they pull themselves out of this. Maybe open their production more to support all of the older gems to keeps some solid income and kill the existing R/S chassis tax that exists. Bring them back to the prices I was paying 6 years ago for my GTR and give others a chance to build up their cars with quality OEM bits that aren't crazy money. God knows I need a new Dash for my car, but I don't want to go digital (unless it's the gangster Haltech 10). But yeah, really really hope they pull themselves out of this and produce some new good cars that warrant us buying them. Like others, they will do a new S chasis, over price it and it won't take off. Just make good dailys that have the means to become something great. Not something I drive that makes me feel like im in a coma.

Yes, they do need to bring back some classic models to compete but yeah like y’all mentioned, hard to do when you’re in this predicament. With that aside, a good start would be bring back the Pulsar (Yaris comp) and of course bring back an s-chassis (FRS/BRZ comp). Then, stop designing all these other ugly cars. Kill the Murano and convert Pathfinder/Patrol to a retro line (like the Bronco and Land Cruiser have done).

They should’ve revamped their design language years ago and in conjunction with that, launch the NISMO CRS program to add the extra spark and help broaden that spot light.

Nissan is struggling because their designs have sucked for years!

Hey guys, I started listening to your podcast a few months ago on Spotify searching R33 skyline and episode 33 came up. This is my favourite episode but I may be bias as I own an r33 gtst or ecr33. I was actually pleased with how much you covered in the episode and your knowledge. As a r33 owner since 2006 I would like to think I have learnt alot about the car and you definitely did it justice. My pick would be the two Nismo 380RS for sale, one at 39k and another at 41k. Expensive yeah, but a forged high revving 3.8L race motor by Nismo and a bunch of other cool one-off parts makes it probably the cheapest entry into a Nismo halo car and I reckon they are overlooked. Plus, Zs are much more fun to drive than my 34 GT-R 😂

This episode was sick! I need to go chat with Derek, I lived in Havasu and hung around the stand up guys for a few years. World finals was always so sick, riding and hanging with all the pros at body beach. Thanks for the interview guys!

Why not just buy an R34 in Japan and take it directly to Yoshida and Mines? Along with an interior restoration wouldn’t that come up to around 200k on top of the donor car… Do you know why going through BBL makes the whole thing cost 400k. Is it from trying to take a profit on the build?
