At least in America; stricter religious communities tend to have higher divorce rates, even the ones that say divorce is evil. While atheists and less strict religious tend to have lower rates. Why could this be? Well, there's also a trend for longer waited marriages to last longer, could that be a correlating factor? Let's see. Those more strict religions also tend to with other rules of theirs encourage early marriages and less focus on ones own stability and sense of self fulfillment before forming such a partnership. This leads to these groups having earlier marriage ages on average and people knowing each other less pre marriage. While the less religious are more likely to wait until they are sure the marriage is more likely to last and they can handle it. Plus the more religious tend to be a bit more against therapies and such that could help remedy conflicts that are arising.
