Yep just an annoying design fail, funny how it was almost a copy from the sally animatronic at haunted mansion holiday. I like the updated version with head tilt better.

It’s because the quote I wanted he wasn’t the actor in that movie I guess so he wouldn’t do it and told me to pick another one and it took me a few seconds so he put me on the spot lol.

Haha, yeah after this year I’m done with these cheap over priced retail props. Gonna off load most of my props and probably go to transworld again in St. Louis next year and start adding a few high end legit pneumatics and do a walk through.

That’s amazing!! I hope you do, because your setup looks like thousands of dollars spent and I would hate it if it goes to no use. Make a couple extra bucks while at it lol. I’m pretty sure people would love to be apart of a walkthrough within their own community.

@@IDKwhattoputasanamelolpeople are quick to enjoy it and less likely to support it financially lol, but yeah if I go a little all out next year with a few high end props and a maze I may make a donation sign for Venmo or PayPal or something. We will see. I know if I’ll be serious or not if I go back out to St. Louis again next year to the biggest Halloween prop convention, we will see how much money I manage to set aside from now until March/April next year. I do want to do a clown walk through though, been planning it since 2020. Covid ruined everything

It was an easy fix, just had to pop the spring back in place and reload it. These props are designed so cheap with cheap parts, I stopped buying any prop that pops like that. For anything with fast pop motion I just invest the money in pneumatics, these cheap end companies don’t know how to design a lasting one lol

silent and deadly is in pieces in my garage, wacky mole clown was borrowed a year ago and I have no idea where it ended up same goes for thrashing clown. But if I ever get them back I will let you know, if I am able to find all the pieces to the deadly silent clown and he works I will let you know regarding that as well.

The issue isn't the blinking eyes, the issue is the annoying loud sound the mech makes when it operates.

poisonprops.com they are located in CA. The quality is really good, definitely worth the money, this prop made so many people scream and run when I had it in the haunted house I helped with.

It seems expensive at first, but when you truly think about it, it is better to invest in these type of props rather than Spirit Halloween types etc. As long as you take care of them, these props should last at least 5-10 years if not more, depending on how much you use it, the quality and scare factors are way more effective, and you don't have to worry about it breaking at a moments notice. I have also bought two other animated clown props from Unit 70 that i re sold a few years ago. It took me about 4 months putting money aside to purchase it, but the owner was really cool and gave me a small discount since the haunt I helped with was non profit, and he allowed me to do monthly payments which made it seem more bearable. Glad you enjoyed it, it is my favorite prop :)

Since they updated the Jack for this year, I am hoping maybe they fix the eye issue...I will pick another Sally up once my Spirit store opens though, since now I have a 20% off coupon, just in case she does sell out and they don't update it next year, i'd rather have one and be safe. I just don't get how Gemmy has made life size blinking props in the past that didn't make all this noise and yet now it does, I know some people have told me it's because the motor is moving more weight with the thicker plastic eyelids, but even a low end motor wouldn't have an issue with plastic, just sucks they get cheaper parts and raise the prices, would've been better off with arm/head movement or arm/mouth movement since apparently they cant figure out blinking eyes...I was hoping for an Oogie Boogie next year but now it scares me to think how that would go lol.

well they didn't entirely create the life sizes themselves (except the witch) so they got help from another company, and maybe *IF* they stop putting so much money and effort in airblowns they're bound to at least up their life sizes by a little (at least)

The classic Gemmy was just so good, and now it just, sucks. It's a shame to see how poor Gemmy has performed in the larger scale category over the years.

yeah sadly they all make that stupid noise. Too bad they cheapen out on the construction of these props. Funny how Gemmy's other blinking eye props don't make any of those noises, my headless bride and party monster prop are still going strong all these years later.
