Winter Gold Panning- Gold N Sand Hand Dredge and Blue Bowl
Spent a couple hours working a fractured bedrock crevice on a bench using the Gold-N-Sand Hand Dredge. Then ran concentrates through a Blue Bowl concentrator

Southwest Washington Gold Prospecting
Просмотров 1,2 тыс.Год назад
I put 3 buckets in total through the sluice today and ended up with som pretty good gold. I dug behind and underneath some huge boulders on the inside bend. This spot is the first place the river can widen out and slow down after going through a fairly deep and narrow canyon, so I figured all the heavies would drop out in the spot indicated by the large boulders building up on the bank. Thanks ...
Rockhounding in Southwest Washington

Found some agates, petrified wood and cool rocks during a quick trip to the agate property. It seems to have already been picked through by trespassers because I usually find more agates than this especially in this area. More videos to come soon, thanks for watching, like and subscribe for more. #rockhounding #agates #petrifiedwood #creek #rocks
Prospecting on the East Fork of the Lewis River, Washington State
Просмотров 6 тыс.Год назад
Running a couple buckets through the sluice at the new spot on the East Fork of the Lewis river. This is a spot I chose to keep digging based on a previous trip. What caught my eye about it is a huge flat rock that creates a natural riffle that led me to find some of the biggest flakes yet out of this river. However the buckets I ran through in this video seemed to be much less concentrated, le...
I’m not a big fan of blue bowls prefer miller tables. I guess, to each his own. But ya good job brother Your getting gold that’s AWESOME!!! Keep Rockin it!!!
how much is that buddy?
Nice. Time to get the winch out and roll some boulders!
Just checking up on you 😉 for I seem to have lost your winter garage explorations but sure you and Al are still at it.....
I went out there last weekend to scope it out. I didn't pan and I haven't panned for gold in my life. I did find some boulders and saw sand behind them, not dirt. The sand, I am assuming, was built up from higher water levels. I was hoping on going out there this weekend, but not sure if the weather will allow it.
Well you should definitely get a pan if you can and get out if you can! If you do get a pan, don’t forget you need to “season” otherwise the water will bead off the surface of the pan and take all your fine gold. Rub it with sand or fine steel wool to rough up the surface. I haven’t been out recently due to not only the weather but also a busy work schedule, but I’ll hopefully get some time soon. Good luck!
@@NorthwestGoldProspectorI do have a pan and it is seasoned. I used light sandpaper as I had some in the house. I've had a few years of almost non-stop medical issues, last year being cancer. But my wife and I went out last weekend. We did some classification of some dirt, ran it through a mini sluice we had in the river. My body was screaming at me, I fell a couple of times as my balance was way off. I also rushed it. Where I pulled the dirt from there was quite a bit of black sand. I need to run it through the sluice I have here at the house where I am not worried about falling over and hitting my head on a granite rock. I was so tired even the next day my eyes said, nope not even going to try looking for small shit in that. Even if we didn't get anything, it was so peaceful out there. I just need to get 3 legged stools to sit on and some hiking sticks to help get up and down to the river level so I don't slip and tumble the 10-15 feet. I may be older, but I can still learn.
Are you on a claim or just public lands?
Public land
Nice work brother! 💪🏻👍🏻✨️⛏️
Thank you sir!
Cool vid! I live about as far southwest in Washington a fool can get (Long Beach), what river is this?
Thanks! Sounds like you don’t have to go far to get good TRUE southwest Washington gold, I’ve gotten a couple of buckets from cape disappointment a few years ago but that’s on my list of places to check out again. It’s the East fork of the Lewis river
For three buckets bro that is killer.
Thank you very much my man!
Very nice sir!
Nice! Good spot
Thanks! It is a pretty good spot
This is so cool! Good finds
Thank you!
Lookin good 👍
Thanks!
Cool setup indeed fam. Nice Au. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thanks you too
Some nice pans you ended up with
Thanks!
That red rock at 1:29 is probably fossil
I thought it could be, i just don’t know enough about fossils to know what it could even be though. Thanks
Best gold in south west wa?
Probably not, just the best spot in SW WA i could easily get to without bushwhacking too much. I plan on doing more exploration soon though
Subscriber 82 here... I've been pondering some inventions/techniques for gold recovery that are designed to expedite the process significantly and it is so easy.. only problem is I don't know anyone close to me that has the circumstances in prospecting/mining that would seriously benefit from my theories. This video is EXACTLY one of the scenarios that I believe can be expedited to a level that would compare to removing the entire "feed the sluice" portion of the process. I'd love an opportunity to do some controlled experiments to evaluate some of my ideas and see if they would in-fact improve efficiency. Practical application is very different than what looks good on paper. But worst case it would be fun to experiment with methods nobody else is even mentioning... Woodland Wa. Anyone feel free to hit me up if they are mining this way and wouldn't mind me doing some capture rate testing vs time required to achieve said rates. Tks
Thank you for the sub! I also have some ideas that could improve the overall efficiency of processing in the field as well as con processing, however the rules set for recreational prospecting in WA are pretty limiting to what I can actually do out in the field for real testing. Eventually, I’ll get to the point where I can do my own experiments, at which point I’d love to test your ideas as well, but right now I’m focused on finding the gold first. Thank you so much for your feedback
I mine this river weekly and live on it... a tip for here, check out the river during high flood you want to mine this river higher up for pickers and richer buckets.. especially high up on inside bends..
Thanks for the tip, I’ll get on it
That's pretty cool. I've been to a club claim up there twice, no gold yet.
Thank you. Just keep at it you’ll get some eventually.
Great job all around fam. Nice Au indeed. Keep on having fun and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thank you! Will do!
What a blast fam. Loving the work indeed. Need some help with them moving border's out. Hit me up fam. Keep on having fun getting that Au and living the dream. Gold Squad Out 🤠
I sure will take you up on that. Water is a little high and job schedule is pretty full for a while, but I’ll be heading out as much as i can
Nice. Im surprised you are doing that well testing that shallow in material with so much organics.
I was surprised too. On this river I usually only find flood gold in the test pans in prime spots and sometimes it’s with all the organics and lighter stuff. Flood gold is my indicator that there’s something bigger even deeper in the hole. You never know if there’s gold there unless you test it.
@NorthwestGoldProspector oh yeah agreed. We work the same areas and I never see pans like that without serious digging, winching boulders or sniping. Seems like there is a source still depositing upstream from you which is cool.
BTW I'm always looking for someone to go prospecting with ( none of my friends will go ) and I have some very promising leads that are not blown out.
I’m always tying to get my buddies to go too but it doesn’t pique their interest enough. I’d be glad to meet up and poke around
@NorthwestGoldProspector nice. I'm heading out today to do some panning / recon maybe even explore a few mines if time permits. Btartsa at gee male dott commercial
What river in sw washington
It’s a tributary of the Lewis river known for gold. Look it up, I’m sure you’ll find it
@NorthwestGoldProspector ya theres a texas gulch at the top. Green mile. Sunset falls
You don’t need to go that far up, there’s plenty of gold in the lower sections
Sluice time
Haha exactly
What river is this on?
Check out my other gold video 😉
I hear you can put them platinum colored stuff in your mouth to clean ups the gold 🤪
And they taste good too
@@NorthwestGoldProspector 🤫
Sasquatch tastes blurry 🥴
I believe it 👍
Find the fault lines brother.
Yes sir, working on it
I have a spot on a tributary that has a large fault that intercects a contact. I'm willing to team up with quiet hard workers ( no internet breadcrumbs).
@StevenHanover washington.
Beautiful spot! Some very Nice color for three buckets, Great Job! 👍✌🙂 Take care.
Thanks, you too!
Wow! Those are some nice chunkers you found!
Thank you!
You got some nice gold in those 3 buckets! Right on, Brother!
Sure did, thank you sir
Right on , on the board 😅
Haha yep thanks!
Toledo?
Just west of longview
@@NorthwestGoldProspector is that where you live? Im up in winlock. Ever dig up in Randal? Iv got good spots up there
Never really looked for agates or rocks much in that area, mostly looking for those golden rivers. It’s an area i know has had good agates before from previous finds with family friends
Any good spots in randle? That's where I'm at
I haven’t been in that area much but I’m sure there’s good spots with Randle being sandwiched between Mt St Helens and Mt Rainier. Let me know if you ever find anything good 😊
Nice chunks, looks like the watter is finally down
Sure is, thanks!
Right on , great day 😅
Yes it was, thank you!
Nice finds, not sure what your weird one is but it sure looks cool, thanks for sharing 👍 😁
Thank you very much!
Nice finds!
Thanks!
Nice
Thank you!
Nice haul. Are you sure the platinum colored stuff isn't just Mercury covered gold? Should check that out.
I did think about it being a gold-mercury amalgam, but all the platinum colored pieces are not very malleable, however I’ll look into it more, thanks!
This is awesome!
Thank you!
Awesome video! Your dog is adorable ❤
Thank you very much!
