    Hi Crossray, will you ever make steel grates? I have heard many people complain about the durability of your cast iron grates (cast iron that starts to flake off quickly) and I don't know if I should buy the Crossray for this very reason.

    Do your heat elements blow out after 5 mins??? Theres a Big bang and the elements dont burn... As if the gas is burning jnfront of the element.....

    See how the chicken is burnt on the outside! That's nothing compared to real life how everything comes out of the crossray burnt to cinders. It absolutely burns everything, it's just an incinerator, not a bbq. The only thing worth cooking on it is a steak, even then it's all the way on low for 2 mins either side then put it on the top rack to finish cooking or you'll burn your steak too!!! Absolute waste of money! It's an incinerator not a damn bbq!

    You have defeated the purpose of self cleaning. Worse yet you used a wire brush which can get bits of wire in the food. You’ve taken a safe vself cleaning operation and made it dangerous.

    Not bad but if you have to scrub it's not EXACTLY self-cleaning. Technically speaking. Anything is better than what you have to do with most grills.

    Im buying this BBQ from Bunnings today. $1799 with the trolley. Best reviews and hope it lives to the reviews Ive seen. Ive had about 8 BBqs in my lifetime and they have all been disappointing in one way or another. The main thing was the uneven temperature around the grill and hotplate. One question, can you get a hotplate for this to cook veggies ie. mushrooms, capsicum, onion etc.

    All you have done is put char grill marks due to excessive heat. That steak after 7 minutes would be 'blue' as in Rare almost steak Tatare.

    Would be fantastic if the grill surface could be raised and lowered. But still looks like a super machine. I think ill be purchasing one soon. BUT WHERE? BUNNINGS? Could you tell me how hot the grill grates can get please?

    Took me two years to decide on this Bbq. Got it a week ago. What a beast. Cooked marinated chicken , veggies and some beef on it. The taste is incredible. Just do yourself a favour and get this one

      @@yosir1980 nah, this brand is fine. The smoke is even less than regular bbq in my opinion. Never had smoke problem BUT I know what you mean! When I was researching for radiant heat bbq, there was some reviews about smoke issue but for this brand is not a concern in my opinion.

    It's a very interesting bbq! I'd probably turn the heat down though and get some more even colour on the meat. The score lines on your meat are basically charcoal and between them there's almost no colour and colour on steak is flavour which is why chefs often cook steak on flat steel pans to get a nice crust. Was this cooked on high heat?

    I love my crossray grill. It is THE BEST grill I've owned. It gets hotter than any other grill I've seen. Question, my grates have gotten rusty and have started to corrode, what do I do at this point? Do they need to be replaced?

    Humane? I don’t think so. Put the lobster in the freezer for 15 to 30 minutes and then cut it like shown. The freezer effectively puts the critter to sleep. Do the right thing and don’t attract haters.
